The VIIC did a crash dive in around 25 to 30 seconds. But according to sh-5 its 5-10 seconds. Its awfull!! Its way over the top!! Can this be fixed?

I agree but having said that in the middle of two lanes of a convoy with 3 destroyers firing on you, 5-10 seconds seems like an age!!

Solution:

Don't collect the power-up bubbles which all sinking Nelson Class BB leave. :D

Try lowering the DiveBT_flood_speed in the .sim file.

i hope a simpel change like this would not affect a deck awash situation

im not sure what you mean here? diving from a 'decks awash' profile should mean a significantly quicker submerge time. IRL in my understanding, you wouldnt want alot of crew on the bridge then climbing thru the hatch after the order to dive was given, theyd have to be pretty damn fast thru the hole. or you could fully man the bridge but clear the tower before the dive order.

hmmm, an animated "clear the bridge" order would be nice.......
