View Full Version : "flat sun bug" what setting to change in Atl.dat to fix?
title says all, anyone familiar with what causes the flat sun issue with env mods?
This has always been a tricky one.
From my experience its the Graphic-Drivers.
There are a few fixes included in one or another Environmental Mods.
Make sure Antialiasing is not set above 4x in your graphics card settings. If using Nvidia, I recommend nHancer that gives you a lot more control over settings, including some that are not available in the standard Nvidia control panel.

this is an ATI issue aswell as nvidia, this bug is present wether AA or AS is on or off :(

the flat sun in SH3 depends on two major things
1. the SunHaloColor values in EncColors_Atl.dat for each weather conditions
2. the Sky_Atl.tga installed by a mod and how sky_index 4 + 5 are designed in this mod
