Hey Yal,

I am new here, but I've been a long-time fan of the SH series.

I grabbed the real-moon size mod, which is really cool! expect, the night sky is still quite empty of stars.

With no Moon, you can see TONS of starts, even the milky way. If the moon is out and full, the number of visible stars does decrease, you can still see way more than SH5 lets you see on its darkest night.

I can't find a star texture in the data folder, but given that SH5 twinkles them, it might be more like a spec map.

To me, seeing the night sky at sea is such a unique experience...

I did a search for this here, but I didn't find anything like this being developed?

Hmmm, has no one tried this? If its a texture map, i can take care of it. but I cannot find a star field texture.

People talked about it for previous sims, but nothing was ever accomplished. It may be hardcoded, in which case it's illegal to touch it.

An accurate starry night would look awesome in this game. Also, auroras would be cool. I'd just LOVE to see that!
