How to create boats?

I want to know how to create boats because I can't really find that out. Even not in the forums!

What is meant by "create"?
Do you want a new boat number?
A different Type boat, that is historicly/historicaly (en. sp. ?) available?

First you need the tools to work with.

S3D for importing/exporting and everything else.

A 3D Modeling program is a must.
There are several good free programs around.
Everyone has thier favorite but I like Misfit Model 3D.

A paint program that handles .TGA files for SHIII
or .DDS files for SHIV.
Gimp is a favorite free program and there is a plug-in for
working with .DDS files.

This will get you started.
Feel free to ask questions as you learn.

I also suggest vast amounts of reading in the Mods Workshop.
Reading older posts from the Merchant Ship Mod,
VonDos Shipyard and such can yeild vast amounts of
technical information.

Creating animals is fairly easy actually......

First you need 2 of the same kind..........
Maybe a nice romantic bowl of kibble.....
Some discovery wild planet........
And 30 seconds of alone time!!!!
