Would it be possible to modify in accidents and malfunctions as part of one of the larger mods? We all agree i think that the ratio of torpedo malfunctions should go way up, but even engine failures, torpedos running and exploding in the submarine, Hitting mines, seals or pipes failing causing leaks and flooding at depths that wouldnt crush the sub.

Little things like that that can kill you beyond your control would go a long way in improving the campaign in my opinion.

PS: A better captains log would be nice too.

Yeah i hear ya. It kind of gets boring to perform test dives as soon as you get in deep waters after you left base while you know there never is a reason for doing them in the first place. I know that with sh-3 commander they did have something that simulated random malfuntions. But to be honoust i never had one in sh-3.

Just bad things in general that can happen to a boat and require it returning to port.

In this game we are racking up 2 million ton careers because the boat only stays in port for 3 days at a time. I could see how this would be possible but i'd imagine after the 800'000th ton those men have earned a weekend pass at least, along with other repairs and refittings that keep a boat in port.

This combined with a reworked dynamic and campaign would do wonders for the game. All i need is a Type II and its just as good as Ops Monson
