Description

Immersion messages for Silent Hunter IV Wolves of the Pacific. (1024)

Most messages are from Naval Records of ship sinkings by U.S. Submarines. They included the Submarine name/number, ship sunk and tonnage, and the C.O. at the time. I have formatted the record to simulate a message sent from the Submarine. Other messages include important Pacific Naval events and battle information.

Two corrections made.

Please delete your 1st d/l and use the link above to d/l the new one.
Please rate it while your there I had to delete the old one which wiped the info.

One thing, I had a look at the text file, and the sinking of the POW and Repulse is marked for Decmber, 1942, and not 1941.

Good Catch! I'm correcting that and will have the fixed file uploaded asap. But it's actually ok, as the start timer for that msg is correct. Thanx!

Dude, you beat me to it!! :D

I've been considering something like that, using just Pacific news and such for the messages.txt, and having ETO news show up on the clipboard, like what the Washington radio station does. You certainly went a lot farther, with the sinking reports, than I would've ever done though.

Since yours is just an add-on to the messages.txt, I may go ahead with my idea, and incorporate yours in mine.

Shouldn't that be Pacific Fleet?

I don't mean to be critical but you have 34 lines of nothing but ############### - what is the purpose of that?
Also I'm fine with my msg's being used in other mods as mentioned earlier, it's the main reason extra msgs is not jsgme. But you have no readme with credit given or explainations. What if any stock/mod msg's does your d/l include / omit etc?
