Okay im being cheeky with all these requests but since i'm not technically inclined myself like you genius modders all i have is suggestions :-)
This idea comes from the storm thread. Why not add a weather variable to the morale system (once its actually fixed of course). So when its beautiful weather morale is generally increased but when rough seas start making the crew sick because of being surfaced, actually submerging your u-boat slowly increases the crews morale.
So the player has to think more about his crew and sometimes will have to forgo the quicker surface travel in order to maintain crew morale. Hell thats decisons a captain has to make.
It would also indirectly lower the ridicuous tonnage sunk in your average patrol as currently possible in SH5.
