Why is not used in SH5? Such a good result of volumetric Fog is very realistic.I expect everybody call upon, next patch has volumetric Fog !

Yeah, I was thinking of that the other day.
I had just sank a ship and surfaced. I went through a patch of low lying light smoke and it acted as fog. It was beautiful, look 100% great. It did not make my deck crew disapear or anything like in sh4.
It was so neat to see the smoke running in between me and my WO, VERY VERY realistic !
Doing so should be possible.

It is used.
I've had it show up a couple of times in foggy weather and it looked great. You can still see through the crew a little bit though.
Maybe you just haven't been in foggy weather yet? Or gone through smoke like the previous post? Or are you wanting fog all the time?

Thought I've been in it, maybe not. Nothing has been as cool as that smoke though.
NO!!!!!, I do not want it all the time. My guys can hardly spot ships the way it is.:haha:

You can also enable it by setting graphics to "High" then turn off the other graphic options you don't want.
