so this is for those "guis", who have the AUDACITY, to use the pathetic gamey crew leveling system, and get any enjoyment from the game!! ITS NOT ABOUT FUN ITS ABOUT REALISM STOP HAVING FUN!!! lol ok.. just kidding aside

so there are two (zwei) versions available Herr Kaleuen!

is for all those morale mod people who have the moral mod its moral mod compatible, all it does is
changes point cost to level from

1, 1, 1, 1, 1

to 2, 2, 3, 4, 5

2, 2, 2

to

4, 4, 4

This should be used with JSGME, you should load the moral mod into JSGME first, and load this mod second as it will overwrite part of the moral mod.. (not to worry it will be fine) (this mod can be used without the morale mod as well but its best to go with it)

2nd version Krupp leveling mod

is my own proprietary blend of nutrients and herbs spiced with some seasonings its stand alone should not be used with morale mod but its not going to hurt anything if u do (aside from the morale mod wont work) heres what the second one does....

for those sub commanders who are just to successful in the opening war this will let your leveling play out roughly 3.3x longer

changes are changed point cost to level from 1, 1, 1, 1, 1

to 2, 2, 3, 4, 5

2, 2, 2

to

4, 4, 4

note: first battery skill is free, as i think the battery recharging rate is not fast enough the amount was increased too, the first level gives 25%, and up form there about 5% per level (if u dont like dont use)

note: the torpedo damage skill was roughly halved in effectiveness

note: the speed for electric and diesel upgrade speed was roughly halved

note: the overcharge engines was toned down slightly and now burns up a lot more fuel about 20% more

note: the first two gunnery skill upgrades are free, because the gunners are just blind LOL
some of the moral costs for special skills were reduced because they just didnt make any sense

note: the skill that reduces engine noise was roughly halved in effectiveness, the escorts are blind enough already"

thanks krupp! I actually rather enjoy many of the changes in SH5, the leveling among them. The leveling is way to fast out of the box though, so this mod is most welcome! :salute:

hmph, i may try this on next career.

It's early june 1940, and i have already spent points in everything. Still getting points i cant even use.

if anyone wants to do thier own custom level points, its pretty easy just go to data/upcdatage/upccrewdata/specialabilities

in that file you can open in note pad , and scroll down and change the point requirements, should take less than a few minutes

Thanks, I'll give it a go.
I have decided to try out the crew abilities thingy in the game, but as gutted pointed out, they level up way too quickly.

Thanks for improving the crew level system - they were advancing way too fast!

There is an error in your second version. It has no effect when enabling with JSGME, because the filename is wrong: SpecialAbilities.upc.upc

Simply get rid of one ".upc" by manually renaming to SpecialAbilities.upc
Then JSGME will be able to replace it as usual.

torp fix removes all speed, vanilla does not mess with the morale parameters, moral fix changers most to 0 so crew listens to you

longer leveling changes the points need to buy skills form 1 to 2,3,4,5 ect.. i tried to please everyone pick your poison

This should solve the problem with TDC solution.
Faster Torp's is a *very* bad idea if you can't input the torp speed in your solution.
