So i've added a few ships to my game over the years, and to be honest I have NEVER seen one of them. :-? When adding a new ship to the game besides adding it to the data\roster\"country" and the data\sea folders do you have to edit it into the campaign_scr or is ship generation determined by its "birth/death" date, nationality, and class type (ie type 100 is a tanker)??? :06:

It depends what ship type you're adding.

A generic merchant (such as IABLs WarMelody, Medium Merchant 11, HogIsland Freighter etc.) should show up in random convoys.
VonDos' liners are type 103 so they should turn up when a liner is called for.
A generic warship (such as a Destroyer) will turn up protecting random convoys.
Type 100 is the least used and there are only two, the Ammunition Ship and a coal freighter so if the ship you've added is a type 100 there is a good chance you won't see it very often. In the latest release of my historic ship mod (which used to be called VonDos' ships) I've changed VonDos' ships to type 100 and adjusted the _RND campaign files so they should only appear on their historic routes.

You also need to check the entry date for the ship you've added. Some ships (particularly destroyers) don't enter the war until 1942/3 so if you're playing in 1939 you won't see them.
