This small mod which is JSGME ready, reduces by half the bonuses for most of the crews special abilities as I felt they had too much of an unrealistic impact on game play, I have also removed the morale cost associated with manning the flak and deck guns, so you can man away at your leisure.

I decided to leave the morale boosting abilities as vanilla, as I did not feel these were out of place, decent officers, can, and do, have a significant impact on lifting the morale of troops.

I have also increased the command cost for using "repair destroyed equipment", from one up to five, as this is essentially a get out of jail free ability. In my own game I have removed the ability all together by requiring an impossible points and morale cost.

If you would like to include this mod in your own work please do, but please give credit where it is due.

My men thank you for their promotions. I hadn't done it since the begining of the game since I don't like the rapid fire deck gun or lightspeed turns, dives, etc.

The subs still seem to crash dive far too quickly with all 5 boxes trained, if enough people would like a another version reducing special abilities further post here and I will consider releasing a second harsher version cutting things down to a third of their original values. Ty for any feedback.:yeah:

Thank you for this mod, just what I was looking for! And although I have not tested it yet, I definitely would be interested in a version which reduces the abilities to 1/3 because I think that even 1/2 is still too high :salute:

Would it be possible for you to adjust how fast points are gained as well?
I also think a 4th of the default values would be more reasonable as they still have quite an impact.
