Can anyone help with getting a modded sub into the single player campaign?
Can this be accomplished by copying stock data file and entering modded subs details?

There's three files you will need for this. Flotillas.upc, CareerStart.upc, and NSS_boatname.upc. In the NSS_boatname.upc you want to look for the line that says "ID="

Next we want the Flotillas.upc file. Here's my entry for Flotilla 1:
[Flotilla 1.UserPlayerUnitType 6]
ID= F1688i
NameDisplayable= SSN 688i
AvailabilityInterval= NULL, NULL
IDLinkUserPlayerUnitType= 688i
UnitTypeCommonality= 2
IDFlotillaLinkTransferTo= NULL
You will also have to assign objectives to this boat. I copy the gato or balao's objectives and rename them accordingly. Now the CareerStart.upc. This is pretty simple because you just have to write/paste in a few characters:

NameDisplayable= Pearl Harbor
IDLinkFlotilla= PearlHarborCommand ; link to ID in Flotilla upc file

F1= Flotilla 1, F2= Flotilla 2 and so on.
