well i installed the 10.3 preview drivers and still no joy, then i disabled crossfire and my fps is now locked at my refresh rate of 60 so thats a plus i guess:damn: though the mouse look movement is still jacked
Turn off Vertical Sync, that should help with the stuck frame rate.

Hi,
I've had the mouse view problem too the first time I played the game.
After reseting the graphic details on high, AND rechecking "windows mode" (will still display in fullscreen), closed and relaunched the game :
- Mouse problem gone !
I've only played twice so I don't know if this did the trick, worth a try.
PS: using ATI 4870 HD 1Gb / intel i7 920

can a mod merge this thread into my post? "ATI card issues/fps/performance"
Guys, look for this post, might be easier to keep a track of all the ATI users and their issues...
cheers.
It's probably attempting to do AFR as it does not recognize the game. Unfortunately Silent Hunter 5 does not support this unless you turn shadows off (at least on NVIDIA cards).

Ok...my problem is my Card...
I have suddenly the same problem in Company of Heroes :wah:
Weird. It's not ATI per se since I run a 5770 and I've had zero problems with the game on it.

The problem is not restricted to ATI users only. I run it on a XFX 8800GTX and the screen flickers like hell... The binoculars of the deck crew flicker too. Sometimes when I turn very fast, the screen freezes and after turning my avatar slow it operates normally. I guess there are some bugs in the shader routines, because I can see screen flickers almost only on the water surface.

If your using SLI, then disable it for the purposes of running the game. Seems to act up for me.

I haven't got SH5 yet (so keep that in mind with the following), but in playing AvP this week I had a lot of problems with Catalyst 10.2 & 10.3 with my Ati 4890.
I went back to using 9.10 drivers which seem rock solid on my system.

I have a single 5870 latest offical cat and np's with flickering or mouse, ati is not your problem.

If you say its not a Ati problem then whats the problem? Alot of people are having the same problems from ati/nvidia land. So it must be the game and that neither side of the fence ati/nvidia drivers are not optimized correctly for this game.
The only way i can get this to run acceptable with my setup, see below is to disable crossfire, when crossfire is enabled the fps is jacked up only 40 fps range thats BS.
Hopefully a patch or new drivers will fix this thing.:damn:

I think the topic title is misleading. I thought this thread was about crossfire support?
Game runs great so far with my single Radeon 5850, using older Cat 9.11 drivers.

I thought you needed crossfire support to be in some kind of profile shipped with the drivers, and if its not there then basically you're not guarenteed crossfire compatibility.
Check the release notes for catalyst 10.3 and see if they included it on this version.
