I have a question especially for any Ubisoft team programmers, or anyone else here. Could you please tell me what can and cannot be changed through scripts? Thank you.
So far, here is what I know...
Can be changed through scripting:
- Campaigns
- UI
Cannot be changed through scripting:
???

Can be changed:
- Campaigns/missions
- GUI
- AI patterns
- Terrain orography (shape and layout of the land)
- 3D models
Can't be changed:
- Core engine functionality (like, say, multiplayer features)

martes86, thanks for the reply. I presume that you have the game, and have looked through the editor scripts?
If most game play features remain hard-coded, and are unable to be changed through scripts, that would be very bad news.

Oh, I haven't played it yet (not for sale yet in Spain), but I've been following closely all activity from those that do have it (mostly canadians for the moment), and the Q&A post at the Ubi English SH5 forum, where some screencaps of the tools have been posted. That's why I can have some certainty in what I post. :DL
Of course, moddable stuff, and core stuff both include a whole world of things, so I can't say for sure what falls where, but as global lines, my previous post stands quite correctly, and it's probably I even forgot to mention something else.
Cheers
