Here is this month's update to the Ship Names list for SH3 Commander.

I've added 292 new names, ranging from 4000 all the way up to 30,000 tons. Many of these are IABL's M35B- 'Empire Ships', custom-built for MOWT (Ministry Of War Transport), in the 7000-tons range.

As always, place directly into Data/Program Files/SH3 Commander and overwrite the old file.

Good sig too
I thought it was appropriate considering my attitude toward SH5's 'on-line' requirement.:D

Great work.

Here's one suggestion: for the next version of the mod, use the following names for M05A:

Dorothy Luckenbach
Harry Luckenbach
F.J. Luckenbach
J.L. Luckenbach
Lilian Luckenbach
Greylock

Based on Talbot-Booth's profile drawings and photos the following ships looked a lot like the M05A model. There were a few others; I will try and research more names & get back to you.

I've mostly been going down the list I was given and adding things as I came to them, but I'm certain I have GRTs for those, so I'll find them and get them in quickly.

Thanks!:sunny:

[Edit] I'm finding more now that I'm looking in that direction:
Edward Luckenbach
Julia Luckenbach
K.I. Luckenbach
Katrina Luckenbach

I keep getting an invalid file ID. Any ideas?

That's because this is the March list, which I've taken down. The April list is here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=166775 . It will be gone in a day or two as well, as I'll have the new one for May ready by Monday at the latest.

Don't worry about missing one though, as each new one is an update and includes everything that's gone before. May's is going to be rather short due to real-life events, and I wasn't even going to put one up, but if I don't the April one will get lost in the shuffle and no one will be able to find it either.

Just had to say, good catch using T10B to represent the "Shirvan" and "Shirak". Those were exactly the tankers I had in mind when I designed that model!

Sometimes it's close, sometimes it's just by-guess-and-by-golly; but sometimes I find something with the right tonnage and I compare the pictures to the ID book and say "Yep, that one's perfect."

And sometimes I even get it right! Not often, but sometimes. :D
