Mod file - DFant_subFlag_2010.7z
For GWX 3.0 only.
This mod is absolutely independent original work, and this mod don't uses stuff from other similar mods of other authors.

Differences of this mod from the previous (out of date) DFa_UpDnRot_Flags_fin2.7z:
1) Flag on turm is smaller
2) Flag on turm has been made with Full Model (2mesh-model)... as result -
identical illumination of flags from both sides...
3) And some small minor alterations...

This mod is for SH3 ver. 1.4b game with GWX 3.0 mod.
This mod is made for all human sub Turms for GWX 3.0 mod.
In this mod we can control rotation, raising/lowering of DF antenna and raising/lowering
of Flag on sub turms ... using new StateMachine Classes... and using next commands:
1) Raising and rotation beginning - keys Shift+V ...
2) Rotation stop and lowering - keys Ctrl+V ...
3) Rotation stop and lowering - for commands:
Crash_dive
Periscope_depth
Snorkel_depth
Dive
Set_depth
4) Raising flag - keys Shift+F ...
5) Lowering flag - keys Ctrl+F ...
Note: Commands Raising/Lowering flag work if the Watch Officer is on the bridge.

In this version by default used smaller SH4-Style flag with full 3D model (2mesh-model)...
and are added random animations for imitation of search of DF antenna...
and stock small errors for Turm2D_1 and Turm2D_2 are corrected ...

This mod is compatible with FM30_UpDown_final.7z mod. --> Note: now it's out of date

Installation:
Using JSGME ...
Unpack DFant_subFlag_2010.7z file in MOD folder.
To attach to game as last mod...
Note:
In archive there is additional folder StockStyle_Flag, in it there are two folders
(NormFLagAnim and SlowFLagAnim) with different speeds of animations of stock SH3 Style flags
... connect any as mod after the main mod.

At first... try to connect my mod in the beginning (if your mods change Commands_en.cfg my mod will not work)... and then move it to the end of your sequence of mods...
... i think my Commands_en.cfg is not compatible with some mod...

Remove red... and install DFant_subFlag_2010.7z and FM30_UpDown_final.7z before DD_OH_V3.09_20091209162038.
... and my mods and DD's mods must be last yet...

Finally! I have tried to get versions of this mod to work so many times, and it never would with my combination of mods, somehow. But this latest version worked first time.

why not use a state of the UBoat to control whatever the object is vice using a command (keystroke)?

i.e.:

InHarborNeutral or InHarbor

That way you don't have to remember to 'control' the object - it's done for you.

You can up/down flag at any time when you want...
But pennants up/down only InHarbor (and InHarborNeutral)...
...only not to you to speak to me about it...

Just a historical note:
The DF antenna on uboats, unlike allied DF systems, did not rotate
automatically. It was manually rotated.
The only time a u-boats DF antenna would rotate would be when a radio
signal had been detected for enough time to give the DF operator chance
to rotate the antenna.

The allies knew this and kept their transmissions short so that there was
no time to react and use the DF systems.

A DF antenna that raises and lowers, but does not spin constantly is the
most authentic representation.

I have found that a person of the female persuasion does this infinitely better, :know: so I really don't think that this mod alteration is needed.:down:

This wonderful mod does not work for me, not completely any way. My Watch Officer confirms his order with a crisp "yes sir",when I press Shift+F but no flag appears on the turm. The same thing happens with my Radio Operator, Ctrl+V returns a crisp "yes sir", but the antenna remains in position. It is the same when I dive the boat, we disappears under the waves with the antenna still rotating. I have taken out all of my mods except for FM30 UpDown. I am using the NormFlagAnim. Any advice would be welcome, please just keep in mind I am Technologically Challenged. :06:

After unpacking DFant_subFlag_2010.7z you must move DFant_Flag_2010 folder to MODS folder and have:
..\SilentHunterIII\MODS\DFant_Flag_2010\data\...
and then connect mod through JSME...

Because in Commands_en.cfg for FM30_UpDown_final there are same commands...
Why you use NormFLagAnim :o... do you like stock flag? not actual... delete it...
If you installed all correctly... I do not know what to tell...:hmmm:

Well I have tried a dozen times and I can't get it to go, my install:
DD OH 3.09
DFant_subFlag_2010
GWX_Test_penns_4subFlag_2010
I selected a SP mission with VIIC 1943, large wintergarten and radar, I can get the flags & DF antenna to raise OK, return to Le Spazia port at docks, the men & WO just admiring the view, I press Ctrl+PgUp, periscope rises but no pennants, press PgUp again WO confirms but still no Pennants!:hmmm:

Anvart, I wanna thank you very much for your mods that I've been enjoying for a while without saying a word....

I want to update your flag and antenna mods with the new versions. Your instructions above are pretty clear on how to enable them. My concern is because I'm planning also to enable FlakMonkey's FM_interior_V1.0 mod.

Hey guys,

Well, I finally got it to work. Previously when it would CTD, I only tested it mid - patrol on a current campaign save. But when I installed it in base or with a new campaign, it turned out fine. I should have known better.

By the way Anvart, great mod. It really enhances the base departure and docking. :DL

The only conflict is in the actual command, and that is easily fixed.

If you have the Engine Start Sequence installed, so the the sound file is already there, open the Data/CFG/Commands_en with Notepad. Scroll down to command line 341 and copy and paste this into it:

[Cmd341]
Name=WP_Target_nearest_ship
Ctxt=1
MnID=0x3F140002
Str=1052
Key0=0x53,Cc,"CTRL S"
Key1=0x53,c,"CTRL S"

This will restore the Engine Start Sequence sound. :sunny:

Its Sound pack V3.0,the others were just small add-ons to the main mod,Sound pack V3.0 is the one that flags up when your own mod is applied last,hope this helps:06:

Im using GWX with Sound Pack V3.0 with both V3.1 and V3.2 Add ons on top,which give's me the Ctrl+S start engine sequence
If I add your mod last in my JSGME mod section,I lose the start sequence:06:

But in any case GWX 3.0 & Tomsen's sound pack are not full compatible in menu_1024_768.ini, en_menu.txt files... and accordingly Commands_en.cfg too...

Disconnect all mods and look original Command_xx.cfg...

Important!
After connecting (through JSGME) of all mods you should have in game folder Сfg my edited Commands_xx.cfg.
