Anyone else have this? When starting the game the FPS is like 15 for me but if i stay on deck for a few mins it climbs to respectable levels depending on various factors. (weather)

q9300 2.25ghX4
6gb DDR2

Havne't checked mine at the beginning, but I would think that is normal as it kicks into render then once has all the details smooths out and speeds up. Obvious framerates will change based on how much detail and screen activity, and ram is being used. Get in a storm, it's gonna drop, look at clear sky, go way up...Your rig is certainly fine. I use the nHancer settings to fine tune mine.

Yeah that seems about normal.
If I load a save in the middle of the ocean it only takes a few seconds for the FPS to stabilize.
But at the start of a patrol, say near a big harbor, it can take my machine 30-40 secs to settle down.
I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah i figured as much. i was just worried yesterday after nearing Truk my FPS dropped to a static 15. It was bad weather so i thought it was that plus rendering all that shallow water in the area. Then i came upon a weird bug where there must have been 10-? destroyers killing themselves on some hidden reef. Just crashing into themselves by then, pretty funny.

Is that a common occurence in this game? I hope i dont run into that again it affected a 20km area.
