Fore Deck Gun in RFB

Upgraded sub and cannot find deck gun to assign crew members to it at start of mission. Seem to recall reading somewhere that it may have something to do with the HUD dial - I have to somehow get it out of the way to assign deck gun crew.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?
