What torpedo are you using? If you are using the Mk-48 it only has one speed setting. And I thought the range was sufficient. How far is your target?

Hello, Thanks for the reply :D

I only use the Mk27 whit Ohio ... bue i have found mi problem, the mod NSM4 whit Ohio dont work fine, the torpedos are afected.

I fire mi Torpedos, at 1500/900 meters.

Thanks

OK there's the torpedo problem. The Mk 27 has a max speed of 12kts. It's meant more for using on a destroyer that's closing on you. The range you are firing at is good for any other torpedo. How are the torpedoes affected with NSM4?

First off, I'd like to say the USS Ohio mod is excellent. :D:up: Reminds me of the movie Crimson Tide. I've toy'd around with the mod a little bit trying to figure out how to make the top SLBM hatch doors open and close and act as functioning torpedo tubes. I've figured out how to put a tube door on top, but there is no tube chamer as a part of the ship's shell on top, but only in the front. It's to my assumption the tube chambers are necessary so the torpedo won't explode inside your submarine. (Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm trying to figure it out as I go along) If anyone has ideas or suggestions to this idea, I'd be very interested in them.

A couple of us have thought about what your attempting and even tried ourselves. The general consensus was that the game wont let you shoot torpedoes straight up. The closest thing we have is the Kraken which hasn't been released. It fires a SLBM but its really just a gun. If we could get it to fire underwater then we might be getting somewhere. :hmmm:

Glad to hear others have experimented with this idea as well. Thanks for the info. I did think of something, maybe you thought of it too and tried it as well, anyway, in the Torpedos_US.dat file it shows the torpedos horizontal. If one were to make one torpedo vertical, would that make a difference? :hmmm: or would that just make the torpedo launch out sideways?:damn:

Just an idea.
