G'day & A Happy New Year to Everyone.
I have a question regarding time compression to ship sighting/detection, where as I cannot change T.C. above 32x untile it is sunk or out of range. This seems to be more of a issue to GWX. Its even more fustrating:damn: when in a enemy port as it also screws up all the crews fatigue. I think there is a way to change /adjust the T.C. settings but do not know how to do this?
Would appreciate any info regarding this as I am sure the are other members who have had the same problem.
Again, all the best for the New Year to all.
H.C.

Moin Herr Commandant,

go to folder '...SH3/data/Cfg' and find 'main.cfg'. Open this file with a simple text editor, Notepad will do just fine, and browse to [TIME COMPRESSION]. There youŽll find all entries needed. After you have altered all values to your liking, copy the file to '.../UserName/MyDocuments/SH3/data/cfg'. Otherwise the game will not recognize them.

Regards,
DD

Thanks Delhan.
I would prefere to ajust TC so as that I can still manage the crew fatigue. Just the problem being while there is anthing in sight or picked up on sonar then the value remains at 32x.

SH3COmmander provides a very convenient interface to allow you to adjust all the Time Compressions for all situations to your liking. It really is an excellent utility, one which everyone should use.

In SH3 Commander the line "When in 3d views" is the setting that controls at what maximum tc level the crew still experiences fatigue. But you can set the other situations to a higher level if you wish. Then you can still TC at a higher rate, but not experience fatigue. The others are self explanatory I think. I advise critical events to set tc to 1. Just remind yourself that with high TC levels other units move greater strechtes through the world with less checks whether they are in range. So you could experience less contact reports or aircover. Which to some is a good thing, unless you get bored eaisly. ;)
