Crashes loading saves

So I died due to my boat taking damage and flooding:nope:

What makes it worse is that I had finished firing the last of my torpedoes and was resting at 165m in my VIIC waiting for the convoy/escorts to pass overhead. There was NO indication I was taking damage until it was too late(but that's another issue).

I had an estimated 77,000t under my belt and was at the end of a month long patrol, this was the last action I was going to undertake.

So I figure, "Ok, I'll just reload my last save." which was just before I entered this convoy, unfortunately, just when I see the title 'not too long ago...' it crashes to desktop.

This has happened once before with the only solution restarting the patrol from the beginning.

I'm using GWX 3.0 Gold and SH3 Commander ver 3.2

Any ideas how I can fix this?

Typical SH3 problem. "Infected save" Copy Your save folder to desktop for example, and try to load erlier saves,[ 2 or 3 patrols back].:yep: Don't save near land or other units.

Well this has happened before and I just loaded the auto-save from when I was in base, that works it's just a shame I have to do that when I'm at the end of a long and successful patrol.

Any workarounds:hmmm:
