Hello Kaleuns,

I am wanting to play with periscope zoom settings, can someone tell me where they are determined, I'm stumped! A long time ago I had a dabble but suffering from a 'senior moment' and cannot for the life of me remember what files it was in; think it may have been the commands_en.cfg but had a quick scan and couldn't find it!

A memory jogger would be most welcome!

Last time I checked, it was cameras.dat in the library.
When you select the files inside, look for optical value.
Hope that help or someone can give a better asnwer

Hi !

You find the settings in the file cameras.dat in the Library folder. Open them with S3D and look onto the left side after Persiscope, UZO, binoculars, etc. Then find accordingly after the entry "optical" and change on the right side below the value according to your wishes.

Tonight, I could set you a screenshot if you should not find the setting !

Best regards,
Magic

You can add more, or less zoom levels also. Remember to check max zoom level:up:

Here is a screenshot about the settings:

Open the cameras.dat with S3D, then go to Dummy_Cam_Periscope > Optical > and on the right side you can choose your MaxZoom Value (my is 20,0) !

Thanks for the info there guys, have not been able to reply sooner due to pressure of work and my impending marriage on Dec 10th, which has obviously been a high priority! Mrs. Kentrat would not have looked too kindly at me had I spent too much time on things not related to our wedding, I will be taking a few moments to experiment with zoomage later today however.....

Thanks! Looking forward to it greatly!

On a SH3 topic, did you read my posting in the 'ACM reloaded' thread? I've looked into cameras.dat and there are three zoom levels, but tab doesn't work.....

any ideas?
