What version are you using? GWX, NYGM, WAC...
What are your system specs?
When is it crashing? Start of loading, middle of loading, near end of loading...
What mods do you have enabled?

If we can have a little more info it's easier to work out what the problem is.

It sounds like there's a conflict somewhere, possibly with your mod set up. Try disabling all of your mods then re-enabling just the 'GWX 3 St Naz + Schleuse...' mod. Try loading the game there and tell us what happens.

Moin MR,

sounds like an ID conflict that causes your CTD. But it´s strange you´ve got an error message referring to 'Sound.act'. I´m not aware of any mod changing this file at all. So, I´d recommend to disabe all additional mods that are not prefixed 'GWX'. If the game still CTD, disable all additional mods and check again. Whenever you´ve found a constellation running without CTD, re-enable the mods one by one whilst checking for CTD in between.

Good luck,
DD

I can´t imagine how, but maybe your 'sound.act' got damaged? Do you have a second install of SHIII on your hdd? If so, try to copy the file to your actual installation. Be sure to make a save copy before!

hi
no sound from the computer on any program ?:nope::nope::nope:
Whats the story ??

If you have no sound on any programm at all, then it´s most probably not SHIII related. Maybe the drivers that came with your new video card have overwritten some newer (needed) *.dll files?

I would do three things:
Turn off music in the options.
Turn off hardware acceleration in your sound settings on your sound card.
Replace the file "sound.act" in your install; if you have the problem with two or more separate installs, then the problem is with your computer and not the game, in which case, I would check your directX and sound card installs.
