Installing Grey Wolves 3.0

I just got Silent Hunter 3 (the Green Pepper version). When installing the readme shows me v1.4 is installed. I failed to install the Patch to 1.4b. I actually only found a patch to v1.3 on the official page.
Installing GWX3 over my fresh installed version of SH3 fails, giving errors. They are in German:
"C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\JoneSoft.txt
Fehler beim lesen der Quelldatei.
Die Quelldatei ist beschädigt....."
Meaning something like failure when reading JoneSoft.txt. File is damged.

I use Windows Vista.

Any Ideas what I do wrong?

There is a Stickey Thread on Vista problems.
In short, do not install in any program folder, but in a separate game folder.
Did you check the md5's on the download?
The patch is mislabled; you are already patched to 1.4b.
Go to your install and delete the file that is damaged; I am not sure what the green pepper version is, but a clean install of SH3v.1.4b shouldn't have this file in it.

The md5 sum for gwx3-1.bin was wrong. I downloaded it from another link, everything seems to work fine now.

Which link did you use? If the file is damaged, we will fix it.
