I present you now my new Work.
I have worked hard to get everything as realistic as we seen in "Das Boot"
and I hope you like it.

[U]Instructions:
Enable via JSGME, and edit the Menu.ini / Tweak Files, like described it in the 2 Text Files.
In the Alternate Folder you find a darker Version of the "Bordinstrumente 1.0" Mod,
with 5 new Dials.

Ich präsentiere euch nun mein neuestes Werk.
Ich habe hart daran gearbeitet alles so nahe an "Das Boot" zu bekommen wie nur
möglich, und ich hoffe es gefällt euch.

Anweisung:
Die Mod mit JSGME aktivieren, und die Menu.ini / Tweak Files so editieren wie ich es in den
2 beiligenden Text Dateien beschrieben habe.
Im Alternate Order findet ihr noch eine Dunklere Version der "Bordinstrumente 1.0" Mod,
mit 5 neuen Anzeigen.

It will probably also work with the upcoming OpenHatch Version, first install, than Tweaking. But I will carry out a detailed test and if necessary publish a new Version for the OpenHatch V.3.

Looks good. Is it neccessary to install this mod only in port? I'm on patrol now and don't know if it's safe or not.

It is better you install them when you're back in the harbor. Since Tga. Files are included, I have at least one Graphic Error when I want change a Tga. File during a patrol. Better don't risk anything. :shucks:
What about the lighting, I do not know, but better not.

Yes probably with every Super Mod that supported the OpenHatch Mod, but i tested it with GWX 3.0

Some virus that act like checking you opening folders or archive's, maybe you get therefore a message from your virus program. On the mod, it should not lie.:know:

In some Super Mod's the lighting was changed, here now the best example: GWX OH V.2 Orange / Yellow Bulps are present. There your seen of course immediately the Variety. In Stock SH3 1.4 the lamps were nearly already looks like in my mod,
there you will notice not much different. Best you ever try to make Screenshots from before / after. Otherwise, everything is correct, the instructions should be clearly formulated.;)
By the way. Where did you get that square periscope? I think this is what your'e looking for:

[Edit]: What you've seen in my Screen is my specially adapted Periscope view, with new Dials / Buttons and a slideout mod which I do believe is in the "Aces of the Deep Modpack" included.

Ok. In one of the folders that came with your mod, was the mini tweak. I ran setup and it installed to it's own folder. I then put the tweak files folder in the SH3 Mini Tweaker folder. Ran MT and opened the files mentioned in the read me file, (DD typeVII interior lights Oh v2 CR) blah, blah. won't work. Once before, I had just the interior lights w/o the OH mod and had it working. But, with the OH and the files that go with it, nada.
It's not the end of the world, I would just like to get it to work.

Do I need to adjust the 'IR_Halo_x' settings as well? Because no matter how many times I try opening them SH3 Tweaker comes up with the run-time error and closes. I've gotten the rest of the files tweaked, it's just those particular ones that don't open.
Edit: I guess I might as well mention that sometimes when I open up one of the tweak files I get pop-ups saying "Unable to find IR_Halo_xx [there are pop-ups for each IR_Halo file], Bypassed but continuing..." followed by 'Check line xxx'
As they usually are related to the IR_halo files, and I can't access those, I'm guessing those are connected in some way?
Edit: Something else for you :doh: When I change the 'Locate alternator game folder' from my stock SH3 install (\SilenthunterIII) to to my GWX install (\Grey Wolves eXpansion), opening any of the ParticleGenerator categories from any of the tweak files produces the Run-time error. (Dunno if I'm supposed to change that setting or not, but oh well)

First start the Tweaker and open the CR file of your boat you wish to change.

Important!:Wait 1-2 minutes until it is complete loaded, maybe it sounds a bit silly, but from this youve got the Error.
You see it that it is fully charged when you can move the Mouse through the list without being stuck on the Selection!

When you wait 'till its fully loaded without stucking, you should can open the IR files without any Errors.
When its not fully charged youve got an Error, or this:

Bleh, still crashes, even after 5-10 minutes of loading. :hmmm: Would it be possible for me to use your tweak files if you sent them? Or how exactly does this all work?
After doing a quick test ingame with Stock, I found that the control room lights were adjusted (Looks awesome by the way!), but the radioroom is still just as bright. This is on the Type XXI, I haven't checked the rest.
Man, this'll look killer on my boats when I get to work out!

Edit: Looking at the little guide included inside DD_InteriorLights_Color_Tweakfiles, it says to copy the files into the TweakFiles folder... Does this mean I need to move the files out of the Interior_Lights_OH_V2 folder in order to adjust them properly? Or does it not matter?

If you mean version as in mod, then I'm using GWX 3.0 and Stock on 2 separate installs.
Otherwise I'm afraid I'm not sure what you mean by version...

[Edit]: i'm seeing, that it would not go when i send you the Tweak txt. files, i have to send my Interior files from the boat you wish, that makes it easier for you. So you need the GWX Interior files without OpenHatch, or with OH? :hmmm:
Oh, and when you useing the new OHv3.8 or below, there i have to wait till D realeased it final, it's still beta.
When DD released the final version of OH, and my knowledge of S3D is better then, i release a new Mod with the Interiorfiles that were already customize, so none work must done anymore.:shucks:

I copyed my active modlist and installed your mod here :Yes it should be, no other files were overwritten the tga's, but! make sure you d/l the Update for the "Low Contrast Instruments" Much more realistic looking and new features, you can overwrite the old Instruments, or delete the old folder, all files are included.

Ah, I see now. No, I'm not using Open hatch. And I'd love to get files for all the boats, but if not then the Type VII & IX would be totally excellent.

[Edit]: LOL, there you've got your Error. You get this Error 'cause the IR Files are from OH, the RR and CR fit together in one by the OH Versions, thats why you have to Mod 2 entrys. When you open the "DD_Interior_Lights" you have to mod the CR, RR, CT then you shouldn't get an error. :yeah:

[Edit]: Ok, choose the: DD_Interior_Lights_V2
So 'cause you not have activate the Open Hatch Mod, Choose your Sub.
For example: Type VII
You have to mod these Entrys:
- DD_TypeVII_Lights_CR_V2 - For Command Room
- DD_TypeVII_Lights_CT_V2 - For Conning Tower
- DD_TypeVII_Lights_RR_V2 - For Radio Room
Then you have to made the same Settings as in the Open Hatch Version explained in the readme, but only those who are in the list, so when the readme says Color IR halo (in the CR)
YOU have to do this in the RR section of the Tweak Files, because the IR halos are not in the CR section 'cause the Rooms are not connected. :doh::DL
In the "DD_Interior_Lights" you don't have to do the txt. files where OH v2 stands on the end.
As I said this before Rapt0r, Your dials are very realistic and I noticed great job here.:rock: To be honest I dont' use VII at this time [XXI actually], but I like your dials and I will use them on my VII as soon as I finish current career.
Some of them also shall look's good in my XXI.:arrgh!:

than you search the List for "Tweak Files for all Types", there you click on "Interior Light Color" it brings you down to the d/l location, where you click on the File in the middle: "InteriorLights_Color_V2_Tweakfiles" this should work for you. :ping:

(make sure you have the right Version!)(V2 without OH, or with OH). But since more people asking bout an explain, i decided to make a Tutorial Video in near future. :up:

I'm a bit confused between this thread and your instrument thread....are they the same mod ?No, first they were in the same Folder, but i decided to work on the Instruments as a seperate Mod, although i orientated myself by the Instruments and the inside visuality by the film 'Das Boot'.
The Point in the Interior Mod are the lightning and some smoke atmospheric.
The Instruments Mod based on Textures, Tga's.
Also, will you be releasing a version compatible with the latest Open Hatch mod as stated in first post....perhapps it already is compatible but i'm deep in building a new install so haven't tested yet.Yes, i will release an new Version of my 'Das Boot Interior Mod' but for the new version you don't have to use the MiniTweaker. Then she will be aviable in a Vanilla and and an OpenHatch version, that means i will mod the Interior files with S3D of every Boat so you only have to enable the Mod by JSGME. 1) once we have tweaked the files, what do we do with it? dont they have to it go into the data folder somewhere?

Ah, my old Das Boot Interior, my Instruments Mod is now the unofficial newest of this here.:shucks: But sometime I wanted to do once again a new Version with tweaked Lights.
However, now to your Questions.

Sometimes you've get an Error when you click too fast from Part to Part, you have to wait 1-2minutes until the program have loaded all compartments.
You also have to choose the right Version, the OH Tweaks are for the OH Mod, the 1.4 Tweaks are for...

but yeah i still get the out of string space when loading the CR file for type VII. Could you possibly send another version of that txt file? everything else is ready to go
im getting a blue periscope (from the menu.ini tweak) which is cool, but no other blue lightng

PS update: im almost certain that the error is because I cannot write anything to the type VII CR.dat file (out of string space) most likely because of the FM interior mod which replaced this CR.dat file with alot of new data. what do you think? that means that this das boot interior mod is incompatible with flakmonkeys new interior mod

There you've got your Error, it is unfortunately not compatible with the new OH Versions higher then 2.0 or Flakmonkey Interiors, i dream to make a new Version, but at the moment there come's one Great Mod after another, and i don't want to make an Update based on a Beta...

Yep, i tweak the regular halos with S3D and you simply have to activate it via JSGME.

Ambient light Color DAY = 3D3F43 - Day/Night must be correctly Type in, i think they were ASCII Codes.
Ambient light Color NIGHT = 6A1500
Fog NearDistance = -2

CT_Bulb_01: <--- This is for every Bulb that you already changed.
Intensity Outer Rim = 0,2

Good old Times with the ASCII Codes, today there are new that i've never seen.
I known some of them while i programming some things with WINMX. :hmmm:

thanks alot for your reply. I tried all your settings, as well as trying much bluer colors for the ambient and bulbs, but I still get a red interior lighting, although the bulbs are bluish. It seems that the night red is coming from another file or something. no big deal

Hey,
The Red Ambient Light comes from the 'Ambient Lights Color'
in every part of the Boat, except when you've installed the OH Mod, then you just have to change the CR and CT.
Please Check every 'Ambient Lights Color'
Theres no Other Controll for the Ambient Light.

Yup unfortunately it's not makeable even with mods.
They used the Blue lights mostly while Silent running, everything has to be quite, but sometimes they were switched on when they have to kill all lights, only necessary should be on. So i choose the Conning Tower, it's not shining out, but it is bright enough to see.
Red light was mostly switched on in CR at Night so that the Eyes could adjust to the Darkness outside.:shucks:

Do i need something else to add first before this mod works? I loaded it with LSH3 mod, adding your mod last but when im ingame there's no changes.
Edit: okay my bad i just read here i have to edit the menu file first and grab the open hatch mod.

You must open in S3D interior dat file of the submarine. Now, You must find halo of the bulb [on the 3d model this is that transparent square]

So, when going to battle station regardless of day or night we could switch to red lights like in real life? what is driving the lights to switch over at "night" maybe its possible to use this function?

Well, this probably will be very complicated, I don't think this is eaven possible.
Light changes day/night are hardcoded from what I know. I said this before.
Ability to switch beetween white, red and - blue light is perfect idea, but I don't think this is possible. Maybe You should ask super modders, like DD, Anvart, or Racerboy.:hmmm:
