Is there any way to change the parascopes height? Say from 10 feet to 20 feet high. Im sure I read it a while back here, but I just spent the last 30 mins searching with every combination of parascope/height/mod/raise/lower/edit that you can think of.

I don't know about any mods, but if you want to change your periscope height, change your keel depth. Depending on the class of submarine, between 45 and 50 ft should raise your periscope enough to be unimpaired buy the wave action.

Where can you change that? I didnt even know you could, I thought it had somthing to do with the 3d model.

You just use the farthest right dial on the bottom. That is your depth dial. You can set any depth you want.

oh i thought you guys were talking about changing the actual height of the keel, im trying to change the height of the parascope/move it up because even when its as high as it can go, it hasn't cleared the top of the conning tower

DrBackJack;
are you using the Attack Scope or the Observation Scope? It's been noted that the Observation Scope does not rise to the same height as the Attack Scope so you have to bring the sub up a bit more than usual otherwise you're view will be obscured by the water.
The red line on your depth gauge is periscope depth but that is for the Attack Scope not the Observation Scope ('O' key to activate the Observation Scope, if memory serves).
Having said that, if you are in less than calm seas your periscope view regardless of which one you are using, will be obscured by wave action etc. The only way around that is to bring the sub up a bit so your scope clears the waves. Be warned; if you do that your conning tower may breach the surface if the seas are rough enough.

...when its as high as it can go, it hasn't cleared the top of the conning tower
:hmmm: That would be a problem. Unusual. Are you sure you're raising it all the way up? Can you post a screenshot?

On both parascopes my view is blocked by the conning tower.

To start with are you doing a MOD or using someones MOD or is this the stock game with stock scopes? And what version of the game 1.4 or uboat add on pack 1.5?

Im using 1.5 with the NSS Shark (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=153412) from Silverwolf. The parascope is supposed to actually clear the conning tower and stop inside the sharks fin on top of the conning tower. Mine wont get past the conning tower. Everything just stays black like when the parascope is lowered all the way. Also Im not using any mods but the Shark.
To discuss a problem it is necessary to define terms and concepts ...
Source files:
1) 3D models look in Sensors_sub_US.dat and Senzori_UBoot.dat ...
2) obj_Extensible controllers look in Sensors_sub_US.sim and Senzori_UBoot.sim ...
3) At first you can change parametre max_height (in obj_Extensible) from 5 metres to (your value) ... but do not forget that models of periscopes have the limited length ...
