Hi guys! :D
Just thought I would post a little treat for all you Ops Monsun players. I went out and made the Admiral Scheer campaign playable in Operation Monsun.
it does, of course, require the original pocket BB mod by Xantro, which is also going to be put on my mediafire page, as well as Mudpig's pocket BB Flack fix, also going up on my page.

IIRC it also changes some commands and other things like that, it isn't just an environment upgrade, I'm sure lurker will be here any minute to expand.

i'll assume then that this mod is now dead because of omegu changes? kinda sucks, was nice to play the sheer but you had to choose between old Stock sh4 or monsun :(

This is a problem only ivank seems to have. Just try if it works, it probably does.Cause I am missing my flak guys.something tells me I've heared this before...
My 1st post ever on subsim was a reply to one of yours concerning the exact same problem: missing AA in the playable Adm Scheer with mudpigs AA fix not fixing the problem:D
I put a fix on FF (7th post on subsim and 2nd released mod:D) but I don't have the files anymore and the links are broken.

I have a playable Pocketbattleship with OM_crew, but without a bridge, and i must check working OM_AA_Guns in game. If all working OK, I will release the KMS_Admiral_Scheer.

problem is that if used with omegu and op monsun loaded before it you cannot get the bridge view (so cant tartget ships) and the ship has no crew either.

in campaign and single missions.

Well I'm here. I see you guy's think it's the "evil" Lurker's OM/OMEGU that "breaking" your stuff. As if I don't have enough problem's to troubleshoot ( corrupted save files after Turm upgrade ), now I'm going to have to look that this.

I'll get back to you when I get a chance.

Quick look shows that the "Playable Pocket Battleship Beta 1.1by Xantro" may work with "stock" SH4, "BUT" it "doesn't" work with OM. All these little fixes are justing making the problem worse. this "CREW FIX" breaks the rest of OM, so just to show you that I'm a "sweet heart of a guy", I'm going to fix this "mod" for you and I'll uploaded it in a day or so. Mean while why don't you guys just "take a break"

I completed a detailed code review of this mode. It's going require a "major" rewrite to work with OM. Approximately 60 to 70% of the current files "break" OM out the box. It will require some "reverse-engineering" to figure out the best way to get them work with OM and in some cases the existing files ( library related ) would have to scrapped and new re-designed files created. I estimated a "minimum" two weeks ( 5 hours per day ) to complete this project.


The bottom line this, I currently don't have the time to work on this as I'm way behind schedule on my current list of projects.

I will see what a can schedule, but won't be any time soon

Admiral Scheer for OM v100

This mod allows Xantro “Playable Pocket Battleship” run on top of OMv715 and is based on a original idea by Sledgehammer427

Special note: AS_for_OMv100 has “ALL” the OM/OMEGU hotfixes rolled into them.

This mod covers the period from Sept 1940 to Dec 1943 and has the Admiral Scheer assigned to two distinct areas to mimic historical operations, “Group West” (Sept 40 to Feb 42) conducting operations in the North / South Atlantic and “Group Nord” ( Feb 42 to Dec 43). The dates used for these operations are “semi-historical” and are a bit longer that real life for gameplay purpose. Home base for “Group West” is Gotenhafen in Poland with a start date of September 1st 1940 and Narvik for “Group Nord” with a start date of March 1st 1942. If you start a career with “Group West” you will receive a “automatic” transfer to “Group Nord” in Feb 42 ( there will be a message that informs you of the transfer )


There have been a large number of changes to the original mod by Xantro to ensure the smooth integrations into OM. In some cases files where removed and in other case the original file was replaced by new files.

Here are some of the main changes

“Periscopes” have been disabled and all targeting for the 11inch guns will be through the UZO.

Damage model has been completely been rebuilt to be and act a little more realistically . The only area that is “below” the water line is the “engine room” so in the “Systems control” window that is the only area where you will see flooding in.

Added “real world” radar and RWR equipment (FuMO 22/27, FuMB4 Sumatra and FuMB7 Timor)

Director with the FuMO radars, now “rotates” (This is based on an original by tater)

Silly question, is there some way to choose targets so that once you select fire at will, they target your selection?

go to the bridge (F5) and go to your binoculars view. when you have spotted an enemy ship, press the spacebar and a little yellow arrow should come up, showing the gun crews will engage that target at will.

Have to say this is a nice mod! Was cruising around in the Graf Spee the other day, doing missions and sinking those merchants....mind you I ran into a "fast taskforce" at night which I though would be a squadron of destroyers since I generally don't associate the word "fast" with battleships, needless to say I got my rear handed to me by a whole column of battleships, cruisers and destroyers :doh: lol. Fun ship though...just watch out for those BB's!! She tends to be a bit squishy under there guns haha

Any solutions for the missing Flack St the Moment?
And i think the 11" Main Guns are weaker than the Guns from the original Scheer/Spee for SH4 ?
