Hi all, :salute:

Simple question (maybe even stupid!), but I was just curious as to when an installed mod becomes active.

For example, I am in the middle of a patrol right now (GWX 3 with SH3 Commander and JGSME). If I install a mod during my patrol, will it become active once I return to port and begin the next patrol?

Or will it only become active once I begin a whole new career?

Mods become active the moment you install them.

BUT it isnt a good idea to install mods midpatrol. Mods that change gameplay aspects will corrupt your saved game. Sound & graphics mods are more forgiving and in most cases can be installed midpatrol.

So, not mid-patrol if possible. But can I install mid-career (once in port) without any game corruption?

Or is it best to wait until I begin a new career for any mod installs?

Yes, you can install mods when you are in port. :yeah:

Hi Dale :sunny: The best rule and safest way is to install a mod before a patrol . Less risk of problems.

Also do a rollback on SHComander. The latest had an auto feature for this.
