SMMO is a compilation of some things I have done myself, and other mods I use, (either parts of, or entire mods themselves) integrated together to reduce conflicts while enabling different mods that share the same files. Most of these changes do not affect overall game play. My intent is to repackage an already great mod and mix things up a little.

Here is a list of mods I've used;
-Intro movie & music from Fall Of The Rising Sun by AOTD_MadMax
-Lifeboats and debris w/ bodies from Pacific Environments 4 by Kriller2
-Max optics & Ship Centered Accuracy Fix by CapnScurvy/WernerSobe
-Various sound files from Webster’s selected new sounds mod
-Aircraft Reflections by vickers03 (one of my favorite mods)*
-Foobar’s Hi Res Skins for Sargo/Gato/Balao subs
-Captain’s office links by Frederick J. Barnet
-High detail lighthouse mod by flakmonkey
-Crew’s quarters by Captain America
-20mm Gun Sight Mod by Krichna.
-Eye Patch mod by Nisgeis
-Lite fog by Vikinger
*aircraft reflections present only when real environment mod is enabled
I have included “Longer Ship/Sub Wakes” Mod by Vikinger with his permission in the optional mod folder.
Just drag and drop it into JSGME.
I have also added a lot of custom missions by various people.
Note, I changed some of the mission names for continuity sake, but did not alter the missions in any way.
-Tambor198’s SH4 Single Missions, (over 30 missions, WOW) and 1.5 Missions (2)
-Tang and Wahoo War Patrols by Cgrimes
-Radar Training Missions by Nisgeis
-Rockin Robbins Convoy From Hell
-UBM Mission Pack by Syxx Killer
Now, here are some highlights of things I have worked on;
-New title screen
-Some minor environmental tweaks, (.dds files only)
-Full Screen Scopes for Fleet boats and U-boats, (my first mod)
-Reworked the Torpedo Images in the torpedo load out screen
-An Autographed photo of Ginger Rogers in the Captains Office
-A significant amount of wording/phraseology changes in the menu file, (Note: being an ex-sailor, I’ve made some changes that are more accurate as far as navy lingo goes).
-New American loading screens, Campaign screens and a tribute to the "Fighting Sullivan Brothers" Museum Screen.
-Reduced the number sub names from the Gato and Balao roster.

This mod is JSGME compliant. It can be used alone with TMO 1.7, but I use, and recommend using the following mods with it. Run Silent Run Deep Campaign by Lurker hlb3, Real Environment mod by W_clear & Kriller2 and Longer Ship/Sub Wakes by Vikinger. Just enable this mod last.
No known issues.

This mod is a bit on the large side, but I really think you'll like it once you get it downloaded.

Great, thanks for your effort. As I use TMO 1.7, is it necessary to add the Real Environment mod? TMO uses the Environment mod V5. I have tried the REM, but I didnt like it, its way to "bright".

Interesting. Funny, all the mod's I like and use you've included.
I think I understand your DL order. Can you export your mod list and copy it here so I can see what you have and what order.
I noticed you had the lite fog included in your mod. That's normally used for Real Env. So if we run Real Env I take it we don't need to run it. I prefer the "lite fog and slow water" mod also for real env.
edit... DL..got one error..
CRC failed for TMO1, /data/sound/music/menu master/sound/music master loop.org...file is broken...
I assume a broken sound link and may just be the DL...
Do you have ware with all to accomplish any of this ?

Played with it some.
I think it's changed the scope depth. Fairly sure the Salmon was 54ft in TMO, now 60ft. The default deep dive is now set for 330, think it was 250 with TMO. Just trying to figure out what all depths have changed for all subs.
Course I had all the other mods you had listed except the PE mod part with floating bodies, ect. so I didn't see many changes. Like the crew quarters finally working with 1.7. I run Row 9 sound, but like the sounds by Webster.
See all the tails, markers, ect...are back....those would have to go.
Didn't look at any lighthouses yet. Couldn't find that mod, do you have a link.

. . . is it necessary to add the Real Environment mod? TMO uses the Environment mod V5.
No, you don't have to use "Real Environments" mod, but the aircraft reflections won't be visible without it.
I think I understand your DL order. Can you export your mod list and copy it here so I can see what you have and what order.
TMO 1.7
RSRDC V411 for TMO1.7
Real Environments
Longer Ship/Sub Wakes
RSRDC V411 Patch 2
SMMO for TMO 1.7
I noticed you had the lite fog included in your mod. That's normally used for Real Env. So if we run Real Env I take it we don't need to run it. I prefer the "lite fog and slow water" mod also for real env.
I think if you enable "lite fog and slow water" mod after SMMO it should work ok
CRC failed for TMO1, /data/sound/music/menu master/sound/music master loop.org...file is broken...
I assume a broken sound link and may just be the DL...
hummm. . .I'm not sure on this one. The music folder was imported from the FOTRS mod without any changes, and I have never had any problems with it. See my final thoughts below.

OK, the jig is up. Remember I said this is a compilation mod. I'm not a true modder. Basically I have taken a bunch of mods that I like to use and tried to get them to all work together as best I could on my rig. I love to tinker, and that's what I love about this game. It is fairly easy for a novice to tweak and manipulate things for their own personal tastes. So if you've like what I've done, great. But if there are some things you don't like, great. Feel free to add/delete/change as you see fit. That's pretty much what I did, and thought maybe others might like what i've done, so I decided to upload it.

Darn! Max optics, which give you unhistorical magnification and enhanced optical quality, plus SCAF, which unhistorically gives a perfect database of every parameter of every Japanese ship on the ocean are deal breakers to me. I don't think those two mods especially should EVER be included in any supermod, except as optional plugins.
You might as well add my slightly subnuclear Mark 14's and cuties, and drop in my slightly subnuclear deck gun and AA gun ammo as well. Why not force EVERYONE to play with a super god sub?
Good to see you're posting and active though! Looking forward to whatever else you put together.

You reall hate SCAF don't ya...
but I agree. For realism it's just plain unrealistic.

No I don't hate it. Capn Scurvy put a lot of work into it and it works great. If you want to eliminate everything that can make you miss except for your own ineptness, SCAF and Max Optics are the way to go. They should be an optional install as a learning tool for all supermods.
BUT making them an integral part of the mod, which cannot be removed, putting all of us in a permanent kindergarten class is completely inappropriate. I like it the way Capn Scurvy designed it: different versions for stock, RFB, TMO, RSRD and combinations thereof to be installed on top of them and removable in seconds when you're ready to handle the "real" world.

I can live without SCAF, I know max optics is unrealistic but it is nice to have esp if you play without contacts. Also nice for TBT at night, combined with the red or green TBT filters(not night vision, but helps and provides just the right balance) sergei created(can find the threat on here i posted titled "cant remember who made this mod"
Real skippers had better radar the fed info to TDC and helped them target at night.Unfortunately, this is not simulated in SH 4, so some optics and filters for TBT is fair help to balance things out.

No biggie, I did a little reverse engineering - to remove Max optics and SCAF, delete the folowing files from SMMO
Cameras.DAT from the Data/Library folder (note: this also takes away free cam in the control room).
Deck_Gun_3_50.SIM
Deck_Gun_4_50.SIM
Deck_Gun_5_25.SIM from the Data/Library/USSubParts folder
I hope this helps :salute:

I downloaded the rar file and when I decompressed it with 7z, I received the following error message:
"CRC failed in "SMMO for TMO 1.7\Data\Sound\Music\Menu_Master LOOP.ogg". File is broken."
And, sure enough, when I try to play it, it won't. The file is listed as 8.32Mb in size. All the other files in the folder I tested played normally.
I re-downloaded the rar file and got the same result.
Pardon my ignorance but what is SCAF? Search came up with nothing.

Do you have a workable link for the lighthouse mod. Only one I found link is dead?

I think it is a D/L error. your only the second one to mention this from 75+ downloads so far. If you delete the music directory, you'll only lose the FOTRS into music, but everything else should work.

Oops, sorry. But a nice little mod/fix.
