REQ......Help with a fictional boats emblem...???

Anyone of you talented graphics folks can help with an idea I have?

I'd like my own emblem for a Balao. "U.S.S. Snakehead".

If you don't know a Snakehead is a voracious, nasty, fish. Eats everything. They're mighty tasty as well.

If I supplied some links to pictures and described what I was looking for would someone be able to draw it up?

I'd then like to have the Battleflags folks package it for me.....

I was thinking more along the lines of keep it true to the fish, scales, colors, fins, but coil it like a snake rearing to strike, and at the tip of it's tail place counter-rotating torp props as if they were a rattlesnake rattle.

Have it tossing torpedoes from it's pectoral fins while smoking a cigar wearing a USN dixie cup! In the style of 40's Aircraft nose art......Stylized like a cartoon character, maybe with an anchor tatooed somewhere.....

What a great emblem Gunfighter! (He designed the Barbarinna's emblem, too, bless his soul!).:DL Stick with him, and he will probably help you out! As for snakes, how about a Sea Snake. I saw one once floating on the surface in the Persian Gulf!

The Barbarinna's is quite lovely! Good to hear that Mr. Gunfighter is the man. I'm kind of stuck on the Snakehead as a snake concept......

Thanks Biil, I appreciate the look-see and I know I'm asking a lot!

It's mostly wishful thinking on my part. I may have to learn how to draw on the computer myself for this one, I'm pretty decent with a pencil.

How about using that as the conning tower emblem? Instead of a square background a yellow oval/circle with "SNAKEHEAD" written curved over the top and "DON'T TREAD ON ME" curved underneath.........We can go from there..........

Speaking of snakes, unbelieveably as it may seem, I think I saw one slither, it was black, under a crack in my foundation last night. I caught it out of the corner of my eye for an instant. I wiggled out of sight, was very thin and moved fast. I could be a baby gardener snake as they are black with a green or red stripe. I have seen many, and I mean meny geckos in my backyard, and it could be lunching on them. We have rattlers aroudn, but most live left for the hills due to construction. I have seen one in the nearby state park, but it had and orange and brown pattern, but no strible. One of my son's friend almost stepped on one at the local elementary school parking lot abiout 3/4 mile from here. I think I will take another look see near my basement.... I will take my most ferious Poodle, Spike, who is 17 pounds to help me out.:rock:

Now,Now IGD dont get hissssssssssssterical about snakes :rotfl:Thankfuly we dont have many in UK Adders there called you can hear them at night going 1,2,3,4 :rotfl:Sorry IGD, snakes are usualy found on the Moors and in Scotland but not many I'm glad to say.I know they can be a problem in US.All I get in my garden are spiders(little ones)and Wife deals with those.

Thank you Distortion,I can do alot with Computer graphics,Photos and sutch but gAiNiAc needs a Graphic Artist for what he wants,I Wish I could start from scratch and draw pictures but it's beyond me but I enjoy the way I do it and thats what its all about.Started with a Sinclair Spectum Computer Oh God ! Way back got to beable to make programs for that but never followed up on it I use PhotoShop,Corel,and PaintShopProX2 for graphics work.Won UBi SH4 forum comps a few times.Yep getting on abit in years now but I still think and act like a 40yr old so my wife says chased her round the bedroom this morning........ did'nt catch her thow :haha:

Instead of the sub name and number in the upper right just put the first half of the saying..... Upper right: "Don't Tread" Lower left: "On me". Subs did not carry any external id in wartime.....

So sorry, but unfortunately I never worked before with cartoon style - it's my first work. :oops: And I'm not sure that I can do exactly what you ask. At first, I'll finish this work "as is", and only then may be try to change the fish's head - but don't promise, don't promise.. I must think about this problem. :hmm2:
