Surface ships???

Ok. im not a noob tostock, but i just installed JSMGE and i intend to use it. when mods say playable surface ships, do they mean you can play a career or quick mission with them????? also any1 know and good mods for stopping/ sppeding up real time for warships so that they cant go from 5 to 29knots in 7 seconds?
