i publish Full version of DFa_UpDnRotSMC mod for all human sub Turms for GWX 3.0 mod.
This mod is absolutely independent original work, and this mod don't uses stuff from other similar mods of other authors.
In this mod we can control rotation, raising and lowering DF antenna using new StateMachine Class ... using next commands:
1) Raising and rotation beginning - keys Shift+V ... Watch_officer command is used (works only if Watch Officer on the bridge) ...
2) Rotation stop and lowering - keys Ctrl+V ... Radio_operator command is used ...
3) Rotation stop and lowering - for commands:

Periscope_depth
Snorkel_depth
Dive
Set_depth

At first, it's Direct Finder Antenna ... not radar ...
In the second, this mod allows to control completely position of DF antenna (Up, Down) in any time ... when the submarine is on the surface ...
In the third, rotation of DF antenna is realistic ... since the mechanism used for rotation of DF antenna the same as for radar antenna (FuMO 30...64) ... :haha:
At last ... in SH3 DF antenna is not functional ... hardcode for this function is absent ...

Very nice indeed! I have one small complaint, though. I have to come to the library to get online. So I downloaded it, and when I got home I found I didn't know how to make it work, so I had to wait until I could get back to the library to copy the instructions.
Please include a readme in the mod telling what it does and how to use it.:sunny:
Just noticed: with that addition it's possible to rise the DF antenna while submerged... I think that shouldn't be possible....?

I do not understand what you're talking ... If you download DFa_UpDnRotSMC.rar mod (and if you have good vision :DL) you see the text file DFa_UpDnRot.txt inside ... read this file carefully and you will not have to return to the library ...

In this mod Water Reflections for DF antennas are absent ...
It's not interesting to me ... and i do not wish to correct it ...

P.S. About Turm9 reflection (with DF antenna reflection) i think it's bad (as example) reflect_coning9c_Turm9c_1_High model ...
it does not cover the bottom part of the DF antenna ... therefore this part is reflected in the water...
Connect WaterReflection controllers to Turm9c_1_coning9c_High and to Turm9c_1_int_coning9c_High ... and all will be OK,
i think ... and do not forget to disconnect WaterReflection controller from reflect_coning9c_Turm9c_1_High ...
and you can delete this object ...
... or rework (or simply move forward a little) Reflect_coning9c_Turm9c_1_High model ... :haha:

Твой мод использует модели рубок. Ты не мог бы добавить к ним флаги, а то приходиться выбирать - либо управляемая антена, либо флаг.

У меня есть готовая работа для всех рубок GWX 3.0 ... где флаг поднимается ("возникает" :D) и опускается ("исчезает") по нажатию клавиш в любое время пока Watch Officer находится на мостике ...

If about pictures above... That it's my mod with appearing and disappearing flag on commands Watch_officer and Watch_officer_end (Shift+F/Ctrl+F) ...
You could not use this mod i did not publish it ...

Yes ... i already tried mesh animation export/import feature ...
It works very well ... but what problems ... i have different files one with model and one with animation ...
S3d don't work only with mesh animation ... and i must do superfluous "body-movement" ...
as simple import/export rawdata ...
but you know without HexEditor it's not the complete set ...
S3D + HexEditor = Very powerful tool :up:

Thanks for these wondeful mods!. I just installed the Radar and the DF antenas mods, and they work just fine! It's very good to have now the possibility to control the antenas! Sh3 should have them out the box!:rock:
And please release the flags mod! It will be also a must have mod!:up:
Hi Anvart, tried it and it works very well, many thanks, only one thing I have to remove the Twisty Periscope thingy mod, I do like this mod, it uses these files:

Turm7c_3_hd.dat
Turm7c_4_hd.dat
I can't remember how to export/import nodes using S3D or even the nodes that are used,:hmmm: could you or Skwas possibly edit these files for me or give me a run down on how to do it myself ... again,:D if you don't mind releasing this info of course.:DL Cheers.

Seems only fitting that I should return the favour for all the stuff you sent me on the twisty peri ages ago. So here goes:-
1) Make new folder and insert copies of Objects/Turms dats from Anvarts mod.
2) With S3D, open a file containing a ready made Twisty periscope model. For the B1,the nodes to open are 2>15>27>96 (Periscope B_High).
3) Right click on 95: 3d model and select Export>Raw Chunk>OK, from drop down menu. Name whatever you want and save to your new folder. You only need do this once: the same 3D model can be used for all peris in Type 7 Turms.
4) Open your B1 file from Anvarts files and follow path down to 95: 3D Model.
5) Copy existing ID from box in top right pane.
6) Right Click 3D model and select Import>Rawchunk from drop down menu
7) Paste the ID ( see 5) to the new 3D model which has appeared further down the list
8) Delete the old 3D model which will now be immediately above the new one.
Repeat dose for the SHD Periscope B_High. Don't actually know whether that's necessary or not. But as it's in the original I put it in.
You can also do the same for the Periscope F_High if you want but this is the obs scope and the helicoil wires weren't fitted to that in RL. It was stouter than the attack scope (although in SH3 it is identical) and presumably didn't suffer from the same vibration issues as the attack peri.
Note: The above is the way I do it. Don't know if there is a better/easier method but it does work.

PS Actually it would be simpler to put the Twisty Rawchunk (step 3) directly into Anvart's data/Objects/files and make the alterations to the originals. Wouldn't dream of doing that with Pack 3D but it would probably be OK with S3D which is pretty good at not letting you make any horrible mistakes!

Why yes there is... Copy & Paste ;) Import/export raw chunk was the early way of 'cloning' seperate nodes in past versions of S3D, but since the end of last year you can simply copy nodes inside one or between two files \o/
CTRL+C and CTRL+V
And for copying a complete tree do CTRL+SHIFT+C and CTRL+V
