Hi Scippers,

I have created a fiktive american Cruiser like CG_58_Class. I will release one AI_Ship and maybe a playable Ship for SH4_1.5 = TMO, FOTRS only, no RFB.
IF i`m ready with this ship it follows US_DDG`s and FFH-Ships and then Russian Krivak I + II, Slava and so on.

If we are talking about Cold War,could have sense introduce ships from that time? Forrest Sherman,Decatur,Charles F Adams DDs,Truxtun,Belknap or Leahy CGs,or even some first CGNs.
Would be also nice to implement both sides CBGs (carrier battle group) like AI,so we could try to sneak in between and hunt the big fish.

What you think about guys?

are the rockets surface to air or surface to surface ? (IJN had surface to air rockets in 1944...)

The way I had designed the launcher was to be surface to surface. I didn't really think it would work well trying to attack an aircraft with it.

Do you have any clue as how to make such rockets ?

The ones the IJN had would fire straight in the air and explode at a set altitude, Carriers had them, so did theirs largest ships.

if there are air to ship rockets in FOTRS there should be ship to air rockets in the IJN Campaign Mod ;)

Hey Nautilus and other people interested on a Cold War mod,what I would suggest is to join effords into a big mod,in order to implement some submarines so as surface units.Could be interesting the development of beleivable bridges and command rooms for that vessels,by someones skilled on 3d design.
Also Im wondering if some ports and naval stations existing in sh4 could be modernized into that era,and other important ports around the globe could be built from scratch using 3dmax.

AOTD_Mad_Max made me my IJN Naval surface to air rockets

they fire and explode in the air but are unguided munitions

So I guess that is also a step closer to having realistic cold-war ships

Hi Nautilus,

nice to see that you are workin on those modern vessels.

If you want i can send to you my japanese WW2 Rockets ive made for Keltos and for FOTRS.

If you put those Rockets in your Launcher with my settings and my sound it would be very realistic.

Setting the Barrel-tollerance ( traverse / elevation )of your Launcher to 0 nearly every Rocket will hit the target
