I need some help getting this patch I uninstalled and reinstalled the game now I went to download patch 1.4 i have the us dvd version i have the original stock version 1.0 i think and now i went and clicked on silent hunter dvd 1.3 and i got a message that said it couldnt be install because of a unknown version "c\programs\ubisoft\silenthunter3\data\menu\de menu.txt: unknown version. " I even went to the download page on this site for 1.4 b and im getting that message. can anyone help me with this? thanks

In the US DVD the patch 1.4b is already in the game
you don't have to installing it :yep:
In the Main menu in the game you can see the patch
in the right down corner

That is true if you have the new DVD, which is patched to 1.4b and Starforce free.
If you have the original DVD with Starforce, you must have the correct 1.4b patch (which states it is 1.3) for your version of the game. If this is the case, you need to find and delete the file (de_menu.txt) and the patch will run.

ok well in the readme file it says its v 1.0? any idea how I can find that file and delete it?

Press Start then Search and type in 'menu_de.txt'

ok i found the file and deleted it in the recycling bin but i still get the same message? should I just uninstall it and try it again I dont know this is frusterating because it should't be this hard.

ok i got it up and running one last thing. what is the most up to date version of sh3 commander is it 2.7?
