Hello folks:salute:,
I am trying to edit the radar device from that files.

The problem?

I am not able to associate with what ship the radar is being used.:nope:

My little investigation

I tried to explore in data/sea/NBB_DUofYork( as trial).
Checking every files possible if I havent forget....
I explore the dat files and the only thing I am able to find are NBB_DUofYork_radar01, NBB_DUofYork_radar04...... and few other files.
The weird things are their ID/Patent ID. They do not match with the one from the AI_Sensors from the library folder.

:06:
Anyone have another tip or idea to help me?

Sensors can be very tricky. Change something and it can throw the entire enemy AI out of kilter.

I think you'll be wanting to look more closely at the ship's .cfg files for which type of radar is equipped. If I remember rightly, the radar01...02...04...etc., in the ship's .dat file that you mentioned are the nodes for the 3D models that represent the actual radar emplacements of the ship, as seen in the game.

Where's that two-legged modding encyclopedia, privateer (a.k.a: The Mod-O-Tron 2000), gotten off to? :06:

He's probably the most knowledgeable one to ask about the ship's files. :know:

Thx, I was planning to "boost" those radar.
Just trying to make long range fire without the 20km+ atmosphere with a technique i use alot.
I am having some issue from the 20km atmosphere which i dislike:cry:

Using the Radar warning+deck gun allow me to lock the target without the need to see through uzo/binoc.
So this is why I am trying to play with those "new configuration"
