right, I'd like to ask you people as to what subs should still be modded ingame and why (WWII subs that is, there is already a Cold War thread).

Typ 127 Seehund.
The most successful German midget sub of WW2. Privateer (and possibly me for the interior) is making a biber midget sub in this (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=140402) thread, but IMO the seehund would be a better addition to the game as it was much more successful and behaved like a real u-boat.

We need a British mod.

S Class, T Class and U Class would be my top pics for Brits. (SH427 has a U Class on his FileFront page, but it is missing files and I can't seem to make it work.I didn't want to pester him about it as he was busy with other things)

I think the Midget Subs would be better done as a stand alone mod.
Much like the S-Boat Mod for SH3.
You could have the Biber, SeeHund, Niger, and such.

On the other sides?
the X-craft for British
and Keltos1 has the Japanese Midgets I think?

I would like to see the V 80 walter boat for fun i know its unarmed but i think it would be nice to have fun with but thats me. Military wise i would like to see an Type XXVI i know its a proposed design but i would love to go out and get some allied warships in the most advanced submarine of the time. Also for another fun thing maybe the type XIV supply boat have missions where u have to supply uboats or bases something different.

Hi, i read your post today, and i was surprised to see at the end of your post a very beautiful in-game (i guess) XXI typ picture.

So, where can we found it ? SH3 or SH4 ?

Arnahud, that is the type XXVI for SH4, with what I think is the skin you get when you put on the alberich anti-sonar coating.

back on topic, I would like to see a brit sub mod, I have such a deep appreciation for those guys, I'm suprised UBI didnt pick up on doing more british subs

Yes I know it was Dutch it is mention in Final Patrol the USS Cod saved her crew.

I made the Zwaardvisch a while ago from JU88's model (it was a Class T boat after all) so that Skwasjer could play a Dutch submarine ingame :

Couldn't we make dutch and english submarines to play on the allied side in sh4 ?
I'm quite busy with the japs at the moment but I wouldnt mind playing a dutch or british sub :roll:

I would like to see the WWII Polish Submarine ORZEL built from a Dutch design in 1936, the submarine and its crew escaped before Poland surrendered in 1939, it endured exile in Estonia, until released to serve in the Polish Naval forces under RN command. It served with a notable distinction during the Norwegian campaign, including sinking the German Trooship Rio De Janeiro. Unfortunately she was lost disappearance under strange circumstances in May of 1940, no one really knows what really happened to it and the fate of its crew.

The Sen Toku is made and will come with the IJN campaign mod, it is not included in the version 3.4 of the Jyunsen B mod but is in the version 3.9.

Vickers sub humm ? I know they had italian ones (see my sig), were the vickers used operationnally ? we only use long range boats for the mod f.i. the Ko Hyoteki :har:

I can not believe that none of you ever mentioned Soviet World War II Submarine, they would of been also interesting to have a experience in Silent Hunter 4. I am gong to do a research on soviet submarine and make a list of them here when I have a free time.

Dagon has made them, and some are already SH4 playable, but they didn't do anything in the Pacific, 'xcept get sunk by a japanese subamrine !

I see, IJN Submarine may have sunk Soviet Submarine but doesnt mean they should not be in SH4 where one of us would are to struggle and try to do anything in pacific ocean in Soviet Submarine. It never hurt to at least, experience anything virtually.

And I will start looking for Dagon's Soviet Submarine of World War II.

I tried a while back, but after refrencing my blueprints (of which I have many) I discovered the model I got of the alfa was too....BAD :cry:

But I may try again sometime in the near future

And keltos, I thought one of those russian subs looked familiar, I have a 1/400 scale Type D on my desk!
