Tomi_099's VIIC / 41 submarine model for SHIII

1. Installation / How to use:

You need GWX 2.1 / 3.0 Gold for this mod.

Manual JSGME install:

First of all, use JScones's JSGME Generic Mod enabler for the installation. If you don't have it, you can download it here:

First installation method (Mainly for Windows Vista users):

Put the three folders from the download into the SilentHunter3\GWX2.1\MODS folder by copy and paste.
Activate them in order:

1X_GWX3.0G_Water_Stream_for_Uboats_V21
2X_GWX3.0G__VIIC41__PlaySub_V21
3X_GWX3.0G_VIIC41_WaterSTream_V21

Second method (mainly for Windows XP-users):

Open JSGME-Mod-enabler, and just drag the folders from the opened zip-files into the window on the left where the inactive mods are. Then it copies the data, and you only need to activate the mod.


To test the new model, just go to the "Single Missions" selection, Choose the mission "Brake (GWX)", and make sure to select "VIIC (1945)" as your player-submarine.
Then, you can see all different conning-towers in the mission.


2. Historical Background:

The VIIc/41 submarine was an improved version of the standart type VIIc - submarine. It had a stronger pressure-hull, and therefore allowed the submarine to dive deeper than the standart type VIIc-submarine.
Today, the only type VIIc / 41-submarine in existance is U995, located in Laboe in Germany. It is a museum, and, at the same time, the only remaining type VII - submarine in the world.


3. What's new in this version of the submarine?

This version of the Type VIIc / 41 model has new waterstreams, coming out of the holes in the side of the submarine.


4. Additional information:

If you want to add your own, personal emblems on the conning-tower, you can do so by editing the skin of the submarine.
You can find a sample skin in the folder "images", which is in the mod's folder: (data\Textures\Images)

I would like to ask you about a folder inside:

The name is Misk. So, it is a new folder, like many others inside your mod, or it is an error, and the right name is Misc ?

One small question though: If i recall, was there some sort of bug where this sub model was being detected too early and unrealistically at periscope depth? Anyone know if this problem been fixed?

Yes the problem is solved,
there are 2 big problems I have not been resolved.
One is the snorkel too deep into the submarine and therefore kidnapped while driving is not visible.
And the other big problem is when you have a Screenshots make the taskbar or minimized and the game continues to fail the hull-inside.
