Resuppling U-boot w/fuel & ammo

Running GWX3.0 and i just noticed that there is only 2 locations where i can re-up my u-boat,at the canary island and greenland.Is this true?I have read the chart and it gives me dates and info later on in the campaign where to meet up w/other boats to resupply.So is this the correct info or is there somewhere else i can go.I am still in 1939/oktober

Only friendly ports like Willemshaven and Brunsbuttel (west end of the Kiel Canal). I'm not sure if neutral ports allow you to dock and refuel. And get away with it.

If it was allowed to dock and refuel there then there would be no need to put a resupply ship in a neutral port. But historical realism recreation and what Sh3 allows are 2 seperate things. Nevermind.

Hi!

The listed locations at which you can refuel and rearm should be correct. The Kriegsmarine sets up more covert resupply ships as time passes, but the Allies will eventually hunt all of these down by early 1944.

I know the Canary Island one is available early in the war since I visited there in late 1939 and was resupplied, hull was fixed and men got medals.

You'll find that once the milch cows get on station they are there for a number of months before they disappear.

yeah made it all the way down to the canary islands and everything was repaired and i was re-supplied,but it did not let stay in the same patrol.I went from patrol#4 to #5.But that's cool,at least i know it works.

You'll get a 'NULL' patrol grid which means you can go wherever you feel like.

The only drawback (in some peoples view, but not mine) is the inability to upgrade your boat.

I think thats realistic enough, Who brings spare sheet metal, welders and aecetalyene torches on a U boat?
