Seems hiding in the depths may get more dangerous.

June 29, 2009 -- Shooting laser beams at a submarine (http://dsc.discovery.com/news/2009/06/15/sound-cloak-silence.html) won't destroy it, but new technology being tested by the U.S. Navy could help find enemy subs....

"Instead of dumping hardware (into the ocean) you could shoot a light pulse into the water and generate acoustic signals,"You'd still need to dump hardware into the ocean to catch the reflected signals. Might as well use it as the transmitter while you're at it, lot cheaper than a laser. :hmmm:

Wait a minute .. shooting a light pulse into the water generates sound signals? :06:

Clearly what is needed is fricking sharks...with fricking laser beams attached to their heads...
Now they would destroy a sub.

It is only a matter of time before going underwater means you are just as easy to kill as on the surface.
