Just tried to reinstall DW after a long time without...

Installing on Vista64 now and have dual nvidia 9600gts in SLI. Just trying the basic DW installation with patch to 1.4.

I get to the menu and can actually launch and play the game however, there are some issues that are annoying.

1) The menu is all screwed up, it seems to fail to redraw certain sections of the screen and I still see the background from the movie intro.

2) When I try to go into options to change video settings and so forth it throws me to the desktop and insists on installing some voice recog nonsense. I try to cancel it ( I don't have any voice input devices laying around) but it's very insistant! Every time I go back to the game options, it throws to the desktop and gives me that stupid voice installer window.

...any other patches or nvidia display settings that I should be aware of?

As for the menu, make sure you don't force antialising. People reported problems with that.
As for speach recognition, AFAIK on vista you simply have to install it (from Microsoft), the code which let's you omit this works only on XP.

Indeed .. it's pretty strange there is no such thread here.

That's too bad... I can't install voice recog because part of the installation asks you to read a sentence; and I have no voice input device. Apparently there's no way to skip that step either.

Strange it only ejects me to the voice recog install screen if I try to go to the games options menu to change the display resolution.
