I have the generic mod enabler in my game folder for sh4
I unzipped the GFO into a MODS folder in the main game folder for sh4
When i start the mod enabler i see the GFO on the left window and then click to enable the mod, it loads some files for a minute.

When i go into the game, i dont see any difference or any of the mods working in the game. For example enter still fires a torpedoe.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the game once, still didnt work when i started from scratch.

What step am i missing? Help is appreciated.

Do you use JSGME?

Anyway, when you download a mod, you have to be careful before placing it into the Mods folder, sometimes the pack files expand as in example: TMO\TMO\Data if you place this folder into the JSGME it will load the mod but it won't be active since the game needs to recognize the root files, so double check that YOURMOD\Data is what you load into the mods folder before enabling it.

Hope this helps you.

Marco

GFO contains 3 folders 2 image files and 2 text files so you dont unzip it straight into jsgme. by doing so you have files with the wrong file structure (install order by name)

to correct your error, first open jsgme and uninstall all mods then close jsgme.

now open c drive / program files / ubisoft / silent hunter 4 / MODS folder, then drag the "Game Fixes Only Mod" folder found there to your desktop.

open it and drag the "Game Fixes Only Mod" folder found inside it back into the MODS folder to put it into jsgme.

close everything then open jsgme and enable GFO, while it is not absolutely needed it is best to restart / reboot your computer when installing large mods that make a lot of file changes like rfb, tmo, gfo, or game patches.

restarting makes sure that the changes are fully implimented and saved. on rare occassions not doing this can end up with minor save game issues the first time you run the game so it doesnt hurt to play it safe.
