I tested the 44 ships and only 10 where good to run in GWX 3.0 campaigns
Why part 1 becouse asanovic7 is going to see if he can fix the bugs in the rest of the ships
you can view them in the museum also , if you want to add them with SHIII commander make sure you wright the names of the ships in the sea conf. file
i can't give you no 100% guarantee if there ctd free impossible to test every campaign in a differant harbor and year
also NOT compatible with St Naz and Schluese and other units

I get the error
"Data error in "GWX Community units\data\Sea\NOM_Buzyum\NOM_Buzyum.dat". File is broken." When I unzip it. 7zip shows the file at 72% completed.

Do the mastheight values (and the other values in the recog. manual) match the 3d model? They are often forgotten, ruining manual targeting efforts. If not, please fix.

But, first, let me get this clear..

Possible ways of ctd with a ship:

1. id missconduct, like same id's on two "objects" modelled in some little radius, or ship "calling" wrong thing, like human head instead of helm?

p.s. if this is the way, I suggest we split ships by men. All we then need are young, good looking women. We all have s3d editors, we all can do it.. In the process we take notes, like what parts of the ship can have the same id like some other, what parts can't etc. Cause I notticed plenty ships use specular something from example docked merchant.dat etc.

Mengle, have you tried commmunity ships mod with pure gwx3 or you tried it with gwx st.nazaire + other units mod(perhaps only one or two ships)?

When I mentioned I got a ctd on 2.9.39. with community ships I had also enabled st.nazaire re release mod.. Well, the thing is, I enabled yesterday community ships(full release) on vanilla gwx 3.0(out of pure desperation for not finding other reasons) and voila 1943. in Brest no ctd, 1944. in Brest no ctd, but when I enabled also st.nazaire addon, ctd..
M35 and m35 hansa are the same ships more or less(practically same files), but some other ships are more or less the same..

Museum also works..
Single mission with the whole british fleet(one ship per class) fighting my sboot works(hehehe very funny, I wanted to see how long will I last(record 35 seconds))..

So, you tell me what to think??

mengle, check out if you have correct vanilla gwx installation.. i think you don't have..
But if you have, then we can only say "the truth is out there"..

p.s. I can't wait to see if merchant fleet works.. :rotfl: was busy with this..

yep i have GWX st naz an schluese and other units
and RB SH4_effects_ GWX_30_71


GWX units part 1 i installed manually, i tried to use it in generic mod enabler but i had CTD :hmmm:

Then please, cut down those remaining ships(since you came on itthis way) that cause ctd on startup with at least those mods. Since I use them, and some other people do.. Or something..

Since it is rather impossible to trace ctd's on campaign, files are only option which is tough.. :rotfl:In single mission those ships also seem to function, even with a whole bunch of other things, but in campaign who can tell.. Corrupted save, ctd when you don't hope for.. On your own risk..

Hi,

Just to inform I have had two CTDs using your amazing work during my currents careers, first in 1941 at St.-Nazaire and second in 1944 at ... St-Nazaire again. But I'm playing with "GWX - St Naz and Schluese and other units V4" mod. Disabling it the game works fine. So I think that "Community Units" mod are not totally compatible with "GWX - St Naz and Schluese and other units V4".
There is just a choice to do when you're playing with the 7th U-Flotilla.
Without this minor bug, all seems to work fine.

thanks for the advice, your right, thats the reason i deleted the link becouse you have to make a choice between this one or St Naz and Schluese mod and i prefer the second instead of the 10 ships.

Me too but it's a pity when I think about the hours you've worked on it...:wah:
