Can I please ask anyone for what ships from where and how can I download for gwx 3.0?
Because I am lost with merchant fleet mod, community ships mod etc.
Discussion would be also great!

I am aware of conflicts regarding the community mod and GWX3.0....I have not as yet had time to look into them.
im stil testing the community ship mod , 20 of 40 tested and 10 of the 20 giving errors (strange bug in some campaignyears they load but in other they giving ctd)

Mine works ok, although i'm not playing careers atm, just single missions

in careers al ship are going to be appear soon or later in the campaign becouse its random, in single its scripted

What are the methods used for testing? If help is needed, perhaps I can round up some of the crew from ComSubsPac to parcel out the remaining untested ships and get them certified.

LTR=Passagier\Frachtschiff
NTRS=Großer Frachtdampfer
KSSJ=Mittlerer Dampfer
NGM=Großes Motorschif
i begin if the museum load , if so i start campaing most of the gives ctd in 1944 , if not start the whole game again and i begin new campaign in 1942
harbor is Brest the first time, than random
Some campaigns load good in 1942 but gives ctd in 1944, don't know how this could be :hmmm:
at the moment i have only 10 most (Japan) ships that do good in al years

Simply install a ship at a time from the Community Ships mod and check the library then run the game through each year.

Mengle, nice someone caught up with that? :up: but the problem still remains like graf paper said how are you testing that?
For instance the reason why I unloaded the mod was because I sailed really fine in 9/1939 until I reached scapa flow.. Where I encountered ctd..
I know for shure the reason was community ships addon, because ctd vanished after I unloaded it. But the fact reamins that I sailed 1500 km before that ctd.. That means if you load a campaign sometime, you should play the whole patrol with that ship enabled. Couple of them in fact, for different dates. Since there are 44 ships, that would be mean urgh..
Now, there must be an easier way.. Maybe if I check campagin files for that date would reveal me something, but most ships are random so probably that would give squat..
The first way that was mentioned before is testing id's one by one.. That would last for ages..
I heard about tool that show you where did the game go bezerk, something assembly.. :88) I don't use it but there people here who use it very skilled so maybe they should tell us about..

i test them one by one :-? the best way i think , most of the time i sail to the channel and wait for a convoy and some show up
but how do you know that not all the ships in the game are in the mission somewere loaded, the ocean is big ?
That's the reason i don't get it,some ships load in 42 and not in 44 in same harbor (and they all excist from 1939 till 1946)
those 10 that are good are also not watertight, like you said in game somewere they good give ctd, but at least you can see them in museum and in the campaign.

so this is the reason than why most of the good ships 7/10 are from Japan :hmmm:

I think it's beginning to look that way :yep:
all ships are tested 11/44 are good so with the green light of the mod builder i can post them :salute:

Ok, then!
I will check id's in files for community ships one by one, clear them and sort them and I hope we will get those 44 ships.. I hope it will not last for decades.. I will start with those nice big beautiful ones :)
Maybe then I learn something about ship modelling :) and it is really beautiful to use s3d, skwasjer had really made I believe the best mod tool for some game and he did it alone.. :rock:
I will try for the whole group..
You mengle keep on testing.. :)
Maybe we can fix that community add on and by that time merchant fleet will become operational..

Forgive my ignorance Mengle, but i gave up careers a long time ago after getting fed up with having to abort them due to dodgy saves, or the associated list of conditions associated with trying to avoid them.
I don't believe i'll try another career unless or until ubisoft ( not worth a capital letter :03:) patch the obvious pigs ear they made of making a game that works as it should.
Commendations and respect :salute: for the painstaking and often frustrating testing programme you've taken on.
