Hi All,
For some reason GWX is not installing. I select run and then nothing happens, my hard drive does nothing but spin. Anyone have a solution
Core 2 Quad
1gb vid
4 gig ram

Exactly which GWX files did you download and where from?
Where did you put the files and what did you run to install GWX?
Did you check the MD5 sums first?

Click on the link in my Signature and get the files from the Official GWX Page. Make sure you read all the instructions and as OLC suggested run the MD5 sums as well.

Time it takes time if you downloaded the all in one version
it can take a little time to start showing anything
it has to unpack all those files. :salute:

I'll second what SeaWolf has said. You need to be patient. Some of the files the installer has to decompress are quite large. If I recall correctly, it took the better part of 15 minutes to complete my GWX 3.0 installation.
You can have a quadrillion cores and 40 bajilya-bytes of RAM but it all boils down to the fact that a hard drive can only access just so much information at one time.
