View Full Version : GWX GBO 3000mts
I installed this mod w JGSME because I thought it had the brg overlay out to 3000m, but discovered as discussed in this thread http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=150441&page=3 that the scale is not in metres. I'm running GWX Gold and SH Cdr 3.2. I tried to remove the mod, but the overlay hasn't changed back. Can anyone give me any advice on where I can find the old file and where to put it back?

hello GinoC,
if you installed the mod via jsgme then switching back gives you the old file but i think that the old file is in fact the same file.(i don't know what files for brg overlay gwx use)
you don't really need the range scales .its usefull only for novice level players (with map contact update on).this image is usefull only for the bearing readings and that only for make your life more comfortable(in fact ,you don't need the image at all.without it you have to convert the bearings to north and then draw them on map.you can avoid this procedure by using the bearings of pato's image)
as far i know ,there is no image with range scales in meters.i have made a fix at pato's image (to show the exact bearing) and changed the miles in meters(note:i didn't change the scales, only the numbers .)

byeAppreciate the detailed reply. I know the overlay is really not necessary, but I kind of liked the idea of being able to plot positions quickly at less than 3000m without having to use the range and brg tool where I have to worry about converting relative brgs to true and that range bug where it flips over the tenth of a km reading 50m early. I'll try your brg fix, though. VMT

for that get the MooseMalloy's ruler mod . it's a 'must have' tool.
get it from my filefront page :http://hosted.filefront.com/makman94/ (http://hosted.filefront.com/makman94/)
i will upload it in a short while
