i found this little fix on ubisoft forums and thought it might be usefull to someone.

here is his post:

This is what I use
Enter is return to normal time
the F key is fire torpedo, this is handy as you can cycle the tubes and fire with one hand.

in your Silent Hunter folder go to \Data\Cfg\Commands open the file with word pad and change the following.

[Cmd6]
Name=Time_compr_normal
Ctxt=1,2,6,9
Key0=0x0D,,"Enter"


[Cmd313]
Name=Fire_torpedo
Ctxt=1
Key0=0x46,,"F"

Fixes two problems with no mods needed.

Usually the critical keys are assigned to 'ctl + key'.
Helps prevent you from firing off all your torps :03:

and ENTER being a nice big key like SPACEBAR, it helps when blindly hitting the keyboard in a emergency.. :)
