View Full Version : S3D, how do the sounds work

Most specifically the hull creak sounds. Is there a way of setting the depth the creaks occur at? Where would I find the data for the creaks, or other sound.

I have looked in the sdl file for the sounds, and the dsd file for the control rooms, with no luck.

Also, does anyone know what causes sounds to go into continuous loops? For example, one part of one creak file goes into a repetitive loop that cannot be stopped without a reload from the last save. Is it something to do with the length of the sound file?

I did get to that page, but it does not show how or when the sound activate. Such as, what depth or condition sets off a sound list, or set.
