Hey.. ran into a strange bug today. Wondering if anyone can lend a hand before my crew suffocate. My CO2 levels are continuing to raise even after my sub is surfaced. It seems locked into all my saves on this patrol. Anyone seen this or have any ideas how it can be fixed?
Much appreciated

Some guys will tell you that reloading the game will fix the problem. It may very well do so, but what you need to do is click on the little CO2 icon which appears in the upper right hand corner of the screen. This will surface your boat, and ventilate it. I always surface in this manner (provided the icon is there) and have never had a problem.

Hi,

It's because you've alt-tabbed out of the game - it's known bug. reload a save and all will be well. if you need to get to your desktop whilst playing use the windows key on your keyboard or save first.

Some people say it's because you alt-tabbed out of the game. I don't believe it, as I have alt-tabbed out of the game hundreds of times without incident. And I have had the CO2 problem without alt-tabbing out of the game.

Occasionally, clicking the CO2 icon will not solve the problem The last time I had it, for the first time, clicking on the icon didn't fix it. I had to save the game and reload it. Restarting SH4 was not necessary, just saving and reloading the game.

So we're left with a very strange, annoying, but not serious problem. Look at the bright side. We could be playing SH3 and the game could be forgetting about our career save after we have a month invested and people could be saying "of course you dummy, you saved too close to land, with contacts around, submerged, while not chanting incantations, pick one or all. You should know better than that." Now THAT is a serious problem. This is merely annoying.

did you take damage and is your boat sitting low in the water??

this happened to me once I could run the diesels but it wasn't "surfaced" yet so air got in.
