View Full Version : Having Problems with Playable surface ships

So a few things I was wondering if everyone could help me out with.

- When a battlestarts the alarm bell starts ringing. problem is it never stops ringing. Not even when I am 100 miles away and fully repaired.

- Whenever my battleship catches fire from a battle the flames never go out. Again I can be 100 miles away and fully repaired, but my ship is still on fire.

- Also, is there a way to incress your lookouts ability? Because I always seem to get spoted alway before my guys seem them. Ok let me put that a different way, because I know its hard to miss a battleship coming at you from miles away. They always seem to open fire before I can. Does not seem to matter what ship I am playing, happens all the time.

- I also noticed on most playable ships there is no water interacting with the ship sound. It's really hard for me to even notice the sound of the bow wave. and I can never really hear any sounds of water smashing against the hull or anything.

- Oh, last thing I can think of, and not a big deal at all, I just thought it was funny. Does anyone else think that these ships leave a hell of a roster tail? I think I got water coming over the rear deck.

Last but not least, I would like to thank everyone who has worked on any of these mods. We all are greatfull for your hard work.

I think I got water coming over the rear deck. thats because you are using a subs files so you have a supercharged sub engine thats running flat out not a big brute engine thats idling along

fixing the prop wake is easy just open the dat with silent3ditor and lower the node for the prop wake

Ya those mods help a lot! Thx. Oh also ,do you or anyone here know the sound file or location of that alarm bell sound? I dont think that this mod is being worked on anymore. So if I could just take that sound out of the game, that would work just as good I guess.

1. unload the mod
2. find the sound (i believe it is shipalarm.wav in data/sound)
3. cut and paste to a seperate folder. dont delete it.
