Slightly Subnuclear Ordinance, SA proudly announces the reissue (we apologize to the families of those who perished in the unfortunate malfunction of the Mark 1 version) of the Slightly Subnuclear Mark 14 and Cutie (http://files.filefront.com/600+SSn+Mk+14+Cutie7z/;13307200;/fileinfo.html). The effects of the SSn Mark 14, you are well familiar with.

Oh, the Humanity!!! Explosive power: 5k to 50K, blast radius 20 to 100 meters, no other modifications to the Mark 14 torpedo.
Now the Slightly Subnuclear Mark 14 bully is joined by his bratty little sister, the Slightly Subnuclear Cutie. Packing the same 10k to 50k of mayhem, sporting a speed of 31 knots, enhanced maneuverability and a 9,000 yard range, the Slightly Subnuclear Cutie is looking for a date with a target near you!
Just imagine the fun you can have with this Cutie! Naw, I took movies!!!! She's so hot, you won't believe it until you see her. The first video is called Ises on Ice (http://files.filefront.com/Two+Ises+vs+Two+SSn+Cutie1mp4/;13307655;/fileinfo.html), the saga of two 20 knot Ises who met girls they couldn't quite handle. The action gets much hotter than they bargained for and they find themselves with no escape from Cutie's wiles!
Then a tragedy called Asashio, We Hardly Knew Ye! (http://files.filefront.com/Asashio+I+Hardly+Knew+Ye+4mp4/;13307656;/fileinfo.html) Cutie hunts down brave Asashio and blows him into the stratosphere! He falls harder than Shoemaker-Levy 9, but she spurns him, setting him into a spin from which there is no return.:wah: Who says this kind of movie can't be art?
Finally a working demonstration of Subnuclear Cutie on a Leash (http://files.filefront.com/SSn+Cutie+on+a+Leash+mpeg4mp4/;13311423;/fileinfo.html)! This movie is not for those with weak hearts, as they have already seen what mischief Cutie is capable of in the previous two adventures. However, she dances with the delicacy of a ballerina around my submarine and hints that she may actually be able to be directed toward a target in this manner.
Come on! You know you want her! But...can you handle her?:yeah:
Slightly Subnuclear Ordinance, SA gives no warranty or guarantee. No refunds, no exchanges. These weapons may not be safe around children or pets. Side effects may include headache, nausea, dizziness, euphoria, upset stomach, cramps, faintness of breath, tremors, seizures, loss of consciousness and death: just like a sugar pill. Your mileage may vary. My configuration in videos: SH4, RFB (latest patch & radar fix), RSRD, TMOplot, TMOkeys, 3000 yard-meter bearing plotter, Slightly Subnuclear Mark 14 & Cutie.

I love you.
Wait...that's weird.
One of the few "cheat mods" I like  blowing DDs into outer space is fun.
Now you have to make a tube-launched AA guided missile with the Slightly Subnuclear Warhead that hunts down the pesky bettys :salute:

RR,
I like the dials and chronometer you have. Is that a MOD? If so, which one?
CW:arrgh!:

It's all in the mice type at the bottom of the page. That's all RFB handiwork. Anybody who hasn't checked out RFB needs to drop everything and go get it. I'm not sure why not many people take screenies of the HUD, but the RFB HUD is the best in the business!:salute: And that's only the beginning of the mod of 2009. RFB OWNS 2009.
I have noticed in using Rockin Robbins' Slightly Subnuclear Mk 14s & Cuties! mod, I can do a lot of damage to other ships. And I have also found that the enemy can do the same to me.
One shot from a merchant destroyed by conning tower, and the crew on deck. By the time I realised what had happened (which wasn't very long) the sub took on heavy flooding, and i sunk. Fish bait galore.
The question I have is can I reduced the damage that the enemy can do to me and still have the same damage with this mod, that I can do to them.
I have mutinstalls. One just for this mod.

I had suspected..... but now Im pretty sure
you added a bit of my brothers hot sauce to the warheads!!!
excellent
Rockin Robbins

Yes, that hot sauce has a kick to it! Comes from Panama and it's like no other I've ever had. It's the best hot sauce on beef or pork, but it will never get there because I've used it all up on these hot warheads!
Wonder what would happen if you used these in the Pacific Thunder Campaign.... It isn't really cheating.....is it?:88)

I couldn't get the missile out of the water, so I settled for launching the target!:har:

I think I figured a way : import the obj into 3DS, change the altitude, reimport in S3D,
and a torp should fly, well actually it shouldn't but..

I caught another Asashio stopped and listening for me. Crept up to about 1800 yards (you just creep up until your nerves can't stand it any more! And then let 'em have it). Sent an SSn Mark 14 his way. Didn't really need to because anything would have sunk him if it hit.
Good thing I had the thing on high speed, because he heard it coming (or saw it maybe, it was night) and fired up his unrealistically powerful engines. I still tagged him in the stern area, which gave him a very interesting liftoff. At one point he looks like a rocket taking off. He goes into the high death roll, but also flips end for end.
This time I used the external camera to get really close to the action: Asashio Flips Out! (http://files.filefront.com/Closeup+Asashio+goes+for+9wmv/;13327297;/fileinfo.html) This one is up close and personal!
So Keltos has a concept for an Exocet! The devs are rolling over in their graves and they're not even dead!:har:
We've done it now. Top secret dev conference:"Now they've gone too far! SH5 definitely WILL NOT BE MODDABLE.":wah:

I installed this mod today and had some great fun - I love how the big ships nearly tip over when hit!
Are you planning to change the mod to support the other torpedo types that we use later in the war?
Cheers
Geoff
Wanted to try this for some fun. :D
Already have RFB_v1.4" mod installed and want to continue using it.
Tried installing "Slightly Subnuclear Mark 14 and Cutie" with JSGME.
Get warning;
"Torpedoes_US.sim and Torpedoes_US.zon already has already been altered by the "RFB_v1.4" mod."
So is the only way to do it manually?
I would prefer to use JSGME.

it'll just change those files over and restore them when you uninstall using jsgme, I do that often.

WARNING:
this is a warning about the sample videos in first post if you have dial-up Internet or limited broadband allowance Internet plan per month;
The first video Asashio, We Hardly Knew Ye! (http://files.filefront.com/Asashio+I+Hardly+Knew+Ye+4mp4/;13307656;/fileinfo.html) one is 30MB, about 8mins long and for most of 7 minutes plus
all you are waiting for is for the target to be set up for the shot then for the torpedo to travel the long distance to the target ship.
I thought the big file size meant it might be a HD quality shot of the torpedo about to hit the target ship and the aftermath but NO; it is an unedited video.
I did not download the second one.
This video was pretty much a waste of time just to see the ship tumble in the air at the near-end of the video with not much explosion animation
The picture in the first post is more exciting.
It would be advisable to just download the MOD and see the effect in your game because the MOD is only 522KBs.
The destructive force of the MOD is worthy though.
It will usually sink a battleship or aircraft carrier with 2 or 3 hits, but these large ships will not jump-up into the air like the small destroyers.

Well, SeaB I can see how you would feel that way with a dial-up connection. We with the high speed often forget what it was like.
You can load the Slightly Subnuclear mod with JSGME and just let it overwrite the RFB file. When you remove it, JSGME restores the RFB values.
I have high speed broadband - I don't know what speed it is though? - but I am on a 4GB per month plan only.
I just started 3 months ago on it.
I have been catching up on downloading MODS for various games, apps for my pc, and watching some YouTube videos etc.
It is very easy to go overboard. Once you have used your 4GB's my ISP starts charging .15c per MB.
I have just being playing SH4 with this MOD.
I torpedoed a destroyer about 500mtrs behind that was tracking me down.
I was very surprised to see it break in two then those 2 pieces spin horizontally, shooting straight up into the sky.
I was at periscope depth and tilted the periscope up as far as it could go which was not far enough!
I had to go external camera to find it!
I did not realize "stratosphere" was literal in your description.
What an eye opener! :o

It's a fun mod. Note that the cuties are also subnuclear. Therefore you have a devastating point and shoot weapon for merchants, which typically are traveling less than 10 knots.
If you enjoy the torpedoes, I have a Slightly Subnuclear G7a (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1210) torpedo for U-Boats and my Slightly Subnuclear Deck Gun (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=172). Actually it's not a deck gun, it's deck gun ammo that goes into any gun which includes....20 and 40 mm AA guns. Those babies are just begging to be unleashed on some shipping, aren't they?:D
".... I have a Subnuclear G7a torpedo for U-Boats and my Slightly Subnuclear Deck Gun" - ammo"
Links for these ?
Updated.......
Got them now. Thanks.
